    railroad cars at Porteau

Wow sounds like cool dive was there any current? I am just starting to do my tek course so by the end of the summer I would like to try and find the wreck. Some guys I know tried to find it last summer but they went down by the point. They did not find it. What was your compass heading, or does...

    Manifold open or closed?

Reading some of the threads and it seems to me alot of people dive with their manifolds open. At depth if you have a leak you have to be very fast to shut off your tank valve inorder to not loose alot of air. With it closed you have two completly seperate systems which can be turned into one if...

Try three finger mits but did not like them too clunky. Tried dry gloves worth every cent only had one leak due a fold under the seal ring. I have found a...

According to the book Welks and Whales their range is from the Bering Sea to Monterey California. From what I have heard they can range in colour red to brown with black and white mixed in. Really good book.

    Natural Resources

Here the same thing applies here. You go a protected area underwater park etc. you willl see lots of large Red Rock and Dungeness carbs. Outside these areas carbs are smaller and not as many. Take only what you can eat. Here you can only take male carbs within the legal size limit how about...

Whats your favourite things to look for while diving?

You may be a while finding shrimp and anemones together looking back in my log book Nov 9/03 is when I saw them. Have not seen any since can not remember what kind of shrimp but they were very colourful. Two shrimp on one anemone must have been my lucky day. RTBCAT

Whats your favourite things to look for while diving?

Stubby bear bottles Ha Ha. Anemones are the best from lone pink ones which are like a flower coming out of the sand to Plumose fields that seem to be like a fog bank until you get close and see all the detail. It is amazing how fine the tenticals are on a Plumose anemone. Once at Wiskey cove I...

    Burst disk

Nice Kiss Pandas. I just wanted to say that make sure you do not have lower presure disk installed in your manifold than what your tanks are rated for now I know, I will always check that the disk is correct for the presure.

    Burst disk

If you are setting twin tanks make sure you have the correct burst disk installed. With a low presure disk installed it may not brust on the first fill but will during refill which mine did when the tank presure reached 3000 psi. It didn't burst under water but could of so I would strongly...

    Train wreck at Porteau Cove

Has any one dove the train wreck at porteau cove how deep is it and where is it? I have heard that there is nothing left but the wheels, but I think it would be a nice dive. Some guys I know tried to find it last summer, they went down to 170 feet and could not find it but I think they were...
