CPR so you think you are doing it right !

i'm not talking about all the time, but you are right the nurse usually runs the code if the Dr is not in the room. the key to tx care to an RN and then for the RN to "run it" is getting some to start making the desicions. I have seen it happen!

yeah, we had washed a bunch of suits and never had a problem with the old suits but my little brother washed his new one and it rubbed a bunch of holes about three in. long on the chest. might just be one of those freak deals but i'm not going to chance it ever again. not worth the $$$ to me...

    Pressure testing

you were saying that the camera is eqaulized, and i was thinking yes it is equalized to 14.7 and you cant take that away or you would be cheating you test to one less ata than you thought you were. but i wasn't thinking about the gauge being at zero. so i'll shut up so i wont confuse anyone...

    Pressure testing

that didn't make any since at first. not just the camera is at zero, but your pressure gauge on you compressor is callibrated to zero. 1 ata is 14.7 and 33ft kis 2ata but the gauge you buy at the store has already zeroed out the first ata. see i told you i was confused. i just had to think...

    emergency O2 Kits

i am a little confused, Paul you said "demand valve", i picture that green, push button valve that we used to carry on the ambulance before we had vents. they put those in DAN O2 kits ?

    Pressure testing

correct me if i am wrong. You are right 1ata is approx. 14.7psi but isin't 1ata=0ft or sea level and 2ata approx 33ft. so wouldn't you need 66 psi to simulate a test to 150 ft. like i said correct me if i am wrong.

    Mold in a wetsuit

the gentle cycle on the washing machine will not hurt the neoprene, but DO NOT let the washing machine go in to the SPIN cycle. The neoprene will float and either rub on the top of the tub or when the tub drains it can rub on the bottom of the aggitater. if it rubs on one spot long enough it...

    DCS treatment on a plane??

While I'm not a medic, it is amusing how frequently you come across such claims. I had a "sports injury specialist" tell me she could "do most of the things a paramedic can do" "really? what drugs can you push?" "uh none" "can you intubate?" "no" "so you are more like an EMT?" "i guess you...

    DCS treatment on a plane??

If you are a paramedic, you can't help getting a little stired when someone makes mention that they are sort of a paramedic. no, Bigjetdrivers statement didnt offend me, but I'm not a DMT, I don't know what DMT training consists of so I cant compare the two very accuratly. But I am a paramedic...
