Yea its a snorkel boat, a large pontoon type called the "down under" if I remimber right. They usually use it for the snorkel trips and OW classes to the jetties. The aquanaut will go to the jetties if they are doing classes, like AOW where one dive is down thier(nav or search) and the others...

In defense of Emerald Coast, they do run outside of the harbor nearly everyday. Thier flagship boat the Aquanaut will hardley ever run inshore or even to the jetties. The reason that their website says only jetties trips right now is the aquanaut engines blew a while back and thier other boat...

Sounds like a good time. I had wanted to go myself but my regs were out being serviced and they wernt ready on fri like they were supposed to be. Wasnt able to get them untill late sat morning, so I settled for a solo dive on the jetties.

Well I just found out my family wont be back in town untill sat afternoon instead of fri night, so you can probably tenitivly count me in, I wont know for sure untill tommorow when I find out more of when in the afternoon they're coming in.

If your going to going to be in the destin area Emerald coast and Scubatech are the two best choices. All of the off shore dives that they do are very easy and managable for someone that hasnt dove in a while, although I would recomend a DM going with you. Both shops run very good operations...

As I'm solo diving more and more and getting more comfertable with it, actually almost starting to like it more than diving with a buddy, I was just curious if I was the only one who on the first couple of solo dives was worried about some shark or something sneaking up on them from behind. :D

Both days there was only one other group of divers out there besides us. Fri it was a pair and sat there were 3 people, but one might have been solo diving. Deffinitly could have been you I passed in the water on sat.
