    Diving The Palos Verdes Peninsula

This book is so very fun, especially if you do a lot of PV beach dives. If you don', time to start. Evil Jeff Challenge to divers. See if you can dive ALL of Max's dive spots.

    Where do the Beginners Dive?

Shaws is the most forgiving and has a lot of great reefs and caves and a very easy entry. Vets is best as a night dive, as there is a lot of sand in the day. Also vets has a tricky slope that makes the last step something that humbles some of the best divers (you get used to it).

    Silicone Seals stretching?

My fusion has latex wrist seals that are melting, so I am thinking of a ring system and trying out the silicone seals, I was talking to Jeff Smith at Pacific Wilderness about them. He was of the opinion that the silicone seals do not return to their original shape, and stretch out making them...

Weight issues - Found weight belt

I have a weight issue. Although I have started the campaign of robbing all of my friends of so much of me, I seem to be gaining a lot of weight. Let me explain. Diets rarely work, so I thought if I came up with an evil plot that denies my friends of all that is me, I might just be able to get...

Two new SoCal Divers. With Jr. OW diver onboard

If you buy him a BPW he can dive it for the next 60 years. IMHO AI or transmitter computers offer convince, but additional failure points. SPG's rarely fail (although I have had it happen). And if you are not doing deco dives, you can always manually figure you're accent rate via small bubbles...

    Thermal vents at White Point

This is one of my favorite dives. The water here is rarely clear, but when it is, it is like diving one of the forbidden pools on the third moon of Omacron XII. Er, what I mean is that it is like another planet. Did a night dive there with Max Bottomtime once. Trippiest dive ever. Plus we ran...

Your Dive Mentor: Who, why and what have they contributed

Well really Max Bottomtime has been a mentor, and friend/enemy. But Greg Cooke has saved MANY a dive for me. If it broke, or I forgot it, he had it in his truck. Awesome dude!

Max B and -eJ decided to go looking for squid at the Redondo Monument. First off we started the evening's adventure with the New Divewagon! Whoopee! Actually it is Mrs. Shaw's old Mazda Minivan brought back from the dead just for diving! Then I got an old Ovation guitar that I had been...
