Force Fins "The ultimate fins" or are they?

I love my FF Pros.....one of 2 pieces of gear I refuse to dive without. I tried and still own many different fins before I bought my Force Fins..... Rockets, Blades, Dacor Turbos, and used to get cramps in my calf regardless of the prep work I did (hydrating, stretching, exercise). Since I...

Help Fight Sea Lamprey in Lake Champlain

Personally, I'd just grind them up for fertilizer. If you want to come up and dive VT, let me know, I'm sure I can round up a few to throw on the grill for ya.:D

Help Fight Sea Lamprey in Lake Champlain

I've brought this up at meetings before, and the standard response was it wasn't financially viable. I guess there are much greater numbers in Northern Europe and it's proximity to Asia where they are wanted makes it cheaper to sell. Thanks for your support.

Help Fight Sea Lamprey in Lake Champlain

We could use your help fighting Sea Lamprey. While New York has been successfully treating it's rivers, creeks and tributaries that feed into Lake Champlain, Vermont has had much more trouble with special interest groups who have had success fighting and preventing the same treatments on the...

    In the beginning

Time for me to add my 2 cents...I've been diving FF's for 5 years and it's one of two pieces of equipment I refuse to dive without (the other is my Sea-Cure mouthpiece). I work part time at Victory Sports in Vermont, which has been a supporter and distributor of Force Fins for many, many years...

    Fatal Commercial Diving Incident

I've known Will for about 15 years and dove with him when I first got back into diving back in the mid 90's. He was living in VT and diving commercially, mostly on the dams in NH. I haven't see him in a few years, but was heartbroken to read his Obituary in the newspaper. Sail On Will, may...

Trip Report Bahamas Cat Ppalu & Stuart Cove’s Dive Trip Apr 25 to May 5, 2008

I did a trip on the Cat Ppalu back in Feb 2005 and just booked another trip for the week of Feb 28th 2009.....can't wait, dollar for dollar it's some of the best money I've spent on a dive vacation. If you go to my photo albums, I have one from my 2005 trip.

    Genesis GS2000 vs Titan LX

I have and have used a GS2000 for about 3 years.....no complaints using it. However, a couple of years ago, when I took a repair course on it, I was surprised by how many parts it has and specialized tools it needs compared to other regs. I'm a "KISS" theory kinda guy, so the high number of...

    Easter @ Venice Beach

I called Ken at Scuba West this afternoon and asked him about conditions and if there was a chance they were reconsidering taking their boat out. He said no, that with all the winds this week that vis is absolutely zero, and that a couple of them tried doing a shore dive Thursday and that they...

    Easter @ Venice Beach

So, is anyone diving Saturday? I'm outside Tampa and had reservations with Florida West to take the charter out to do some tooth diving on Sat and Sunday, but he called and cancelled the entire weekend yesterday due to weather conditions. I'd drive down for some shore diving if conditions are...

    Hockey Talk 2007- 2008 Season

Wow, surprised this thread hasn't been more active.....loving this season, with what the Habs have done so far. Looking back through the thread, I'm happy to see I was right on the money about Souray....he was deadweight, and i'm glad Gainey didn't resign him. I'm also happy we didn't get Hossa...

    Patriots

I'd like to see the Giants take out Dallas and go to Lambeau next week. I'd also like to see Indy in New England. Then have Favre against the Pats in the SB. That way, when the Pats are 19-0, there can be NO DEBATE who the best team ever is, as they played a tougher regular season than the '72...

Force Fins, gear choices, closed minds and open minds

I'm lucky in the my LDS not only sells them, but most of the instructors and staff use them as well, and lent me a pair to try before i bought them. They have a few pair in the rental dept, just for that purpose. I've gotten a few remarks when traveling, but when they see how easily I get them...

    Hockey Talk 2007- 2008 Season

Ahhhh...thank God it's back. I have missed hockey so much this summer. Major youth movement happening in Montreal, their future is in their hands. I see them where the Sabres were 2 seasons ago, and while there will be growing pains, I see great things ahead. It's going to be a great season. GO...

    Blackbeards

What boat of Blackbeard's are you going on? They have the Aquacat and Cat Ppalu in Nassau, and their sloops in Freeport. When I did a trip aboard the Cat Ppalu, we stayed at the Nassau HArbor Club & Marina, where the Cat was moored. Check Blackbeard's site, as they have links to hotels they...

Help for a big girl! I'm getting discouraged.

Try a Harvey's Flex....comes in the size you're looking for, and the neoprene material they are made of allows for "expansion" if needed. Great suits, know a lot of women who thought they needed to go custom who were able to be fitted by them. Good luck wetsuit hunting and in your "goal" C-Dawg

type of fins for easy cramping legs

I used to get cramps, regardless of whether I stretched, made sure I was hydrated, whatever. I switched to Force Fin Pros about 5 years ago, and regardless the conditions or how much I dive in a day ( normally do 4 or 5 dives a day when i vacation) I have never cramped in my Force Fins Pros...

Trying to understand the difference between models

I have a few buddies who are drysuit divers who use FF Pros. A few are over 6'0 and 200 lbs. I myself, while preferring to dive wet am 6'3 and weigh 240, and I exclusively use FF Pros now, and have for the past 4 years, even in current, and don't seem to have any problems keeping up with my...
