Wondering where on Little Cayman would be best areas to snorkel in the afternoon after my final morning of dives since I would be flying out the next morning? I'll be staying at Paradise Villas and don't know if the beach out front is worth going out for a snorkel or not.

I ended up getting Poseidon reg after all. It's a solid heavy weight reg for sure and it has worked really nice in the Canadian Great Lakes and Georgian Bay waters that I dive (worked well in Cozumel as well as Vancouver Island BC too). Only issue I might have with them is that their o-rings...

Thanks everyone for your input. Since it's better to get into the country in advance just to get over jet lag, I was thinking that Bali might be a more pleasant place to recover than Jakarta but only if the flights to Sorong are okay. The new direct flight from Bali to Sorong might work well.

I'm going to try diving the Collingwood harbour as well as off St Vincent Park near Meaford. Even if it's shallow, if the water is relatively clear (at least more clear than Humber Bay and Welland in the summer), then at least they are quick dives to do.

My dive group still goes down to Humber Bay every few weeks and summer temps can be 22 - 23 C. Welland is also warm in the summer with lots of fish in the wreck but it's too far for me to go now that I'm up in Collingwood. You can join my group for Humber dives and we'll be doing some diving...

Just wondering for those of you who do shore dives around the Lake Simcoe area, how is the parking for non-residents? I heard it's pretty pricey at $20 per hour but not sure if it's just around Barrie or if all the dive sites around there are like that?
