Nathalie, Thanks for your story. I dove the Galapagos Islands a few years ago (on the Agrressor) and the requirred SMBs for all divers...like you said most dives are drift dives. Perhaps the operation you used will start that policy as well. Again, thanks for sharing.

Go to a map of California....find Point Conception and Point Vicente (PV)...draw a straight line...and you'll see how the current comes down California...that's water from Alaska,,,, It's why there are so many differrent kinds of nudibranchs there....they love that cold current.

I always ask Rental outfit for a valet key or a key without chip in it...some have it some don't...if they don't they will cut one for you for extra cost; which I've done. Doubt Hardware Store would cut one for a rental (they shouldn't anyways).

And my point 1.3 is Barry was "old school" and didn't change with time. It's different running an internet store and an old brick store....Barry (like many old timers) never made that change to cyber.

So, again it’s probably time to bring up the point that “Brick and Mortar” stores can not compete with Internet Stores…and this is especially true with Local Dive Shops (LDS). The problem is most LDS have “loss leaders” with their OW Certs and Air fills...
