    Underwater Nailer or Impact Chisel

Absent a dedicated underwater tool I will use cheap pneumatic chisel guns for one shot jobs, otherwise it is worth buying hydraulic tools made for repeated underwater uses

Is certification necessary for shallow water diving?

Well, when shops and charter boats stated asking for a card a group of us who had been diving together for years paid $35.00 to a NAUI instructor who gave us all cards… Modern sensibilities may vary.

Is certification necessary for shallow water diving?

Quality training does. One need not be a member of an organization to provide quality training.

Is certification necessary for shallow water diving?

My dive training consisted of:” do not hold your breath” “when you go down, if your ears hurt, pinch your nose and blow”, when it becomes difficult to breathe come up no faster than your slowest bubble” Some of us predate easily accessible classes and organizations. I bought cards in the late...

    Blue Heron Bridge Trolls III

Turbidity curtains are not supposed to be anchored to light cinderblocks. They are supposed to have floats at the top and be fastened at the top with the curtain free. The turbidity curtain is attached topside; no dragging on bottom.

Question How old are you and how long certified? Poll- please take part!

Started diving in 60s with zero instruction. Bought a card in 82; guy I dove with became an instructor, and people started asking for certification for fills. Wife and kids got certified in early 2000s, I went through the advanced classes with them to get the cards.

My point is that if instructors become scarce, there will still be people who want to dive who will teach themselves. Shops with fill capacity, charters, and such would still require a C card for liability purposes, but the scarcity would create problems for the industry. I taught First Aid...

    Worsening insurance crisis

Would not this lead to people diving the way we did it when I started, meaning reading a book, or someone telling one:” never hold your breath, if your ears hurt on the way down, pinch and blow, never come up faster than your slowest bubble, and never hold your breath”?

    Blue Heron Bridge Trolls III

A skin is enough, the cnidocytes fire a small stinger, not really enough to penetrate a skin. Or, at least that has been my experience.

Teenager with DCS, mother in denial, treatment delayed

Not to derail, but Chiropractors do not earn PhDs, their degree is “Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine”. There is a group who believe that chiropractors can adjust away anything. There have been a number of people who have suffered injury while being adjusted as they had the same issue as you; a...
