Granted but you are allergic to it and develope a strange craving for grass clippings and orange rinds....

Because like all new things, they take awhile to be acceptted by those that are "pro DIR"....not that that is a bad thing.
Somethings are never acceptted.....
If the lens is removable, remove it and refit it. I had one mask that had a major malfunction after about 50 dives. Took the mask apart, no easy feat. and found the seating area appeared rolled over. Cleaned it really well and put it back together. 100 dives later and no troubles.
I had the same thing happen on my Bare Nex-Gen 1st the wrist seals then the neck. The only explanation I was given was age. The suit was 6 years old when I bought it, replaced all the seals and dove with it for another four years before buying a new suit.

Flip a coin, any number of possible "Lucky" punches could happen...but if I were a betting person I would guess the long odds would be on the hippo....
