Yes I was due to dive South West Pinnacles and Sail Rock last Monday but the trip was cancelled due to lack of take up more's the pity.

Krabi is OK but the diving is no great shakes. Some of the decent off shore dive sites are much closer to Phuket than Krabi. Krabi is however nearer Hin Deng/Hin Muang. Phi Phi has some good dive sites and the vis is much better. As Ilandeemst says the best diving is in the Similans/Mergui area.

I'll just endorse Steven's comments on Kata Beach. Very nice beach. Reasonable diving off the beach. Good restaurants and bars. 10 minutes from Chalong. Great place to stay if you want to holiday on Phuket.
