Nick, I meant no offense, just trying to shutdown the Mix vs Air question. There's no reason for a CCR diver to dive deep air. I don't know any CCR divers that would even consider it. My condolences to his family and friends.

A CCR mix fill costs about $12. It's a safe bet he was on mix.

I find it upsetting that there is no standard. Many recommend pounding on the ladder, but up here in the Northeast, there are often divers hammering on the wreck. There needs to be a distinction. Revving the motors sounds good, except we often get other boats on the same wreck...

I had the problem my first few times on CCR. I've never been on a full face mask, so I can't speak to that. However, when I was aware that OC I often kept positive pressure in my scuba mask, and now I had to pay closer attention to equalizing it when changing depth.

On the other side, my buddies are trying to get me to go down to FL for some deep dives. We have so many wrecks here, most boats try to go to a number of them and cater to a large range of diver. We have wrecks from 60 ft to 250 ft.

Ray's a nice guy and capable diver, but do you seriously think that no equipment manufacture, certification agency, or dive retailer has ever contacted a marketing consultant before? I know better, I've been in work groups conducted by marketing research firms working for equipment...

Most boats in NJ do this. If your qualified to do the dives, they will tell you the price to get there. They just have to get capable crew.
