The future of dive travel vs local diving.

I'll admit I was never into cold water diving, so if 'cream puff' diving is referencing warm water/coral reef diving, then I'd lose about 99% of my diving motivation if I couldn't do 'cream puff' diving. Local diving in north central Texas is lake/quarry diving....YUCK other than to stay in...

The future of dive travel vs local diving.

The Woke West is actively trying to destroy it's own oil industry and oil consumption as well as the rest of the world's oil industry and consumption, the rest of the world is doing the opposite.

Help Me Decide if the travel expense is worth it.

Curious, is there a terminal illness involved or a lucky trust fund baby with essentially unlimited funds available ? You might end up living to 95 years old hitting up Scubaboard with your 'gofundme' account if you're not careful. I expect to retire in not more than about 4 more years, I...

The future of dive travel vs local diving.

I don't see any realistic replacement for fossil fuels with respect to aircraft, we will never see nuclear/wind/solar/battery powered commercial aircraft, although we do have bio-fuels available, which still generate carbon anyway. Some predict we will convert to a social score/carbon...

    Unknown Cozumel: Horrible dive accident...

It may be a case of the 'tourist boat' having stumbled across a shore dive gone wrong and the body floated out where it was finally accidentally discovered.

    Vessel Indo Siren Fire?

Frank is quite correct, we are NOT talking about "a few mosquitos", more like 'Plagues of Egypt' level mosquitos, not to mention all the horrific tropical diseases they carry!

Question about new/never used regulators -

I believe leisurepro.com buys gear if you are interested in selling, may be easier/more trustworthy than risking E Bay.

    Socorro Liveaboard Grounding

If you don't waste money on proper insurance that frees up money for funding premium live aboard trips and I guess it's a free country if all the GFM folks want to help pay for someone elses nice vacations or business trips.

Hi folks, so far I've had a few nibbles and some serious sounding inquiries, so if you are serious please let me know ASAP. A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, so I'm leaning towards those who can get here first. I don't want to get 'stood up' holding out for the more vague future...

Looking to clear out some garage space, thinning out the herd of surplus tanks. They need a new home. Seeking local buyers, Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas metroplex (not interested in shipping, hence prefer local buyers). Willing to consider reasonable offers. Thank you for your interest.

Interested in selling used tanks to local Pawn Shop(s), any tips/experiences?

I get your points, but for the record Faber does still currently make and sell PAINTED tanks: (for example) Faber High Pressure Steel Tank ...so Faber hasn't 'switched' from painted to galvanized, they 'added' galavanized as another option.

Interested in selling used tanks to local Pawn Shop(s), any tips/experiences?

Thanks for the reference point, maybe my market will be those who simply can't cough up the $$$ for new ones, not everyone can afford a new car either, regardless of 0% financing on the new cars.

Ok then , my $500 initial pricing is 1/2 the new price = 50% value , admittedly mine are out of hydro though. So far I've received 2 SB member inquiries, so I'll see how those develop, see what offers/counter offers I get and move forward accordingly.
