    Apollo Bio-Filter Regulator Moisture System

Have one; best thing since sliced bread. Almost as good as sex. Yes, it's a little pricey; but, if you find dry mouth annoying then it's worth the cost. Might get one at a discount on e-bay; I bought a second one that way. I wouldn't give it up. Mark

    DIY coalescor advice?

Looking to build a coalescor. Have studied what exists on SB and tDS; didn't find much in the way of design ideas, parts recommendations. Seems to me the HP vessel could be made from XXH stainless steel pipe with plugs pinned or clamped (with 4 bolts, a la a booster). Anyone have any success...

    Air quality analyzer

Any time you get a fill in a 3'rd-world location you are taking your chances. Due to the embargo you would have to assume that the dive shop is starving for cash for all purposes; servicing the compressor won't be 1'st on their list of priorities. Sounds like you might have had some CO...

Apollo Bio Filter ... any input?

Have one; wouldn't dive without it. Really makes a big difference. Have an Atomic M1, don't notice any load on breathing compared to my ScubaPro MK25T (on my pony, but doesn't have the Bio moisturizer). Mark

Does anyone has problem with their Suunto?

Just returned from a dive trip using my Suunto Cobra, Tusa IQ-800 and Mares DiveMate. Just had the Cobra battery changed before the trip by my LDS. Never had a problem with the Cobra before. Initially, on this trip, the Cobra worked fine; gave comparable readings to the other two dive...

Request: info/opinions on Tusa & Tusa Sapience

I have a Tusa IQ-800 (and a Suunto Cobra and others). I like the vibrating feature because I am hard-of-hearing at 2000 Hz and above. I can't hear most electronic alarms because they are too-high frequency; so, the Tusa IQ-800 is great in this respect. Like the large display; and, even if I...

Looking for a BC with big pockets

Hi all, I'm looking for a BC with big pockets. I like to carry lots of stuff that I don't actually expect to use (e.g., beacon, sausage, extra knife and the like) and I don't like such stuff to be dangling off my equipment; I want it stowed in pockets. SeaQuest's...

    wet suit for tall guy

I bought on e-bay a Large + Tall wetsuit; probably a 7mm, at least a 5mm. I need an XL, and was thinking about getting it re-sized, but havn't taken the time to do it. Now, I'm thinking I'd be better off with a drysuit. If your husband is interested send me an e-mail at bruscke@abax.com. Mark

ScubaPro not Allowing Testing of Products

Lots of debate and conjecture on magazine reviews. Thanks to Nick Lucey, Editor at Large of Rodale's Scuba Diving magazine for his first-hand testimony about differences of opinion on testing protocols with SP. One observation I've made (in a direct e-mail) to Scuba Diving magazine is - I...
