What to do if you test positive before flying home?

It seems to me the right thing to do is to get back to the states where you can have confidence in the diagnosis and treatment. And if it happens that you are infected, rest assured that you won't be the only one in the airport or your flight who is. That's just the odds.

What to do if you test positive before flying home?

I'd speak to my hotel. And schedule the test through them as well.

What to do if you test positive before flying home?

The antigen test is more likely to give a false negative, especially if administered sloppily. We went with the cheapest provider and the worst testing conditions. You're more likely to test negative the sooner after exposure you get tested. So we got tested as early as possible. Testing...

Car is parked at the X. I could have parked closer, but this was easy.

    Trip Report July Blue Angel

I make no promises; just relating my experience. The photo above was taken about 20 steps north of the hotel entrance. Parking is permitted all along the street there. Last week, a lane was blocked for "road construction" so part of it was unavailable for parking, but there was still room for at...

Help with planning a Coz dive trip

Ah, yes, that explains the faucets. Definitely not upgraded in the past six years, but they were labeled. The biggest complaint I got from the fam was not being able to flush toilet paper. But I gather that's most places on the island.

Help with planning a Coz dive trip

Both of those are true. And the dock was redone at some point, maybe a couple of time. But you don't get to count your steps in a cab.

    Trip Report July Blue Angel

We did have a rental car, just for the day we drove around the island. It went fine. I rented from Isis Rent a Car | Playa del Carmen and Cozumel, $35 for 24 hours for a clapped-out VW Beetle with the top cut off, that was mostly rust held together with paint. But it was fun. Isis does have...

Help with planning a Coz dive trip

We just got back from Coz four days ago. We stayed at Blue Angel and rented a beetle from ISIS. We've stayed at Blue Angel for almost 20 years, on recommendations of posters here. I'm happy with it. But it hasn't changed in those years except vas changed by hurricanes. And it is most...

    Trip Report July Blue Angel

We all did a shore dive the first day there, so the kids could get the feel of the ocean and a weight check. I did a long shore dive on the last day. I was pleasantly surprised at how well both kids did on buoyancy and everything considering these were their first dives outside of a pool or...

    Trip Report July Blue Angel

Just got back from a five day trip to Coz, staying and diving with Blue Angel. This was our first trip in a while; we'd gone as a couple every year for a while before having kids. That slowed down, and neither of us had been to the island in six years. Everything was just as we remembered...

Is it possible to swap Aeris QD fitting to new hose?

Thanks, I got the case off. It required getting the compass out, then removing the compass housing, then removing the case..... The fitting came off easily at that point. If I can get a new HP hose and spool at the LDS tomorrow, that will work for my trip. And it looks like a special tool...

Is it possible to swap Aeris QD fitting to new hose?

I'd be ok with this option as well, but the fitting is recessed into the computer case, and I don't see how to renew it. There's not enough clearance to get a wrench on the fitting as it sits.

Is it possible to swap Aeris QD fitting to new hose?

Taking my kids on their first real driving trip, and I wanted everyone to have matching computers for simplicity, so I bought an Aeris Atmos AI on ebay to replace my console. Problem is that the hose it came with leaks, and our trip is in a week. It looks like several pin holes in the hose...

    Question regarding tank fills

Dumb newbie question, but what would be the shop's motive in deliberately short filling? Is it just time consuming to get to the right pressure, or is there a greater cost, e.g. electricity, in getting the pressure up?

    Just returned to Cozumel

Why would anyone buy one when you can print your own? https://apa.memberclicks.net/assets/Coronavirus/Vaccines/Vaccine_Webpage/COVID%20Vaccine%20Record%20Card.pdf

    More silly airline games

I'm getting a bit worried reading this thread. We're booked on American DFW-CZM at the end of July. Taking the whole family for the first time, and some them are not particularly flexible when it comes to plans changing.... I hope American doesn't cancel or reroute us.

    July Roll Call

So what would one expect to pay for a cab tour of the island? (Or is it something we're not supposed to talk about?)

    Feeling like a newbie again

I really appreciate all the answers and suggestions. I'm glad to hear that Mateo is still with BA and still has Ohana. The first time we ate there was shortly after it opened! Our dive plan, since we arrive in the evening, is for a shore dive the first morning we are there just so everyone...
