    Two PST E7-100 Tanks

I have 2 PST HP Steel 100s with DIN/K valve combo and boots. One has two dives on it, the other is still virgin. Both Hydro'd & VIP on 04/11 with a "Born On" of 04/2005. Kept in a climate controlled closet (75 deg) when not in use. Asking $300 individually or $500 for the pair + shipping...

    New Features at Mansfield

I would be willing to assist in the effort to do some snazzing up of the diving areas. Just let me know when the festivities begin.

Poll - how long did it take you to adapt from a jacket BC to a BP/W?

I just wish i had gone this route in the first place. It is very compfortable, less drag, easier to maintain and less task loading than my jacket BC. My brother wanted to buyy my old BC from me and I told him to go straight to a BC, but his instructor refuses to let him learn in a BP/W.

Where to find information/definitions of all equipment.

This isn't an online source, but I would suggest the book, Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving Not only does it go into the various aspects of gear, it also is a valuable resource for diving related subjects.

    SoCal Lake Diving

I have been here sitting at work thinking about what lies at the bottom of lakes in the SoCal area, ie. Pyramid Lake, Lake Elsinore, Lake Piru, Cataic Lake, Lake Mathews, Lake Perris, etc. Knowing that we have Lake Pacific in our backyard (for some of us) and awesome diving at times, one...

Proper Removal of Suunto Vytec from Boot

It is really simple to do. I just did this myself and got the elastometric wrist mount boot from DSS. Works great and much easier to deal with than the console. I even removed the spg from the casing. Edited: Sorry...I misread your post. I thought you had the console setup for your...

    Underwater equipment exchange tips needed....

I just completed my DM certification. I can tell you that it is a challenge even though it sounds easy. I was buddied up with a guy that I had never been diving with, let alone even knew. He was wearing BP/W. I was wearing a backinflation BC. Luckily I was familiar with tech rig entry exit...

Suunto Dive Manager 2.2.1 with vytec

The program runs fine and sees all my COM Ports. I try testing to see if the interface is connected and it fails...every time. I have adjusted every setting possible but nothing worked. I notice that there is a new download available. Maybe I will give this another try.

Suunto Dive Manager 2.2.1 with vytec

Congratulations on your certification! As far as the computer software goes, I have never been able to get my dive computer to download to my desktop system using the hardware purchased and software downloaded from Suunto's site. I have completely given up on trying to do it. I just log my...

    Catalina conditions??

Did a couple dives @ Casino Point yesterday (Sunday AM 2/5). Had incredible visibility somewhere near 60' or more in places, lower in others (out over sand).

Dive Insurance? What do you think?

I have DAN and been with DAN now for 5 years...never had to use it (knock on wood). Since I have yet to be on a dive trip anywhere outside the US I doubt I would need any other insurance. However...if I were to have an opportunity to go anywahere outside the US on a dive trip, having a back up...

    What counts as a dive?

As soon as you descend below the surface, you start accumulating N2 into your system which by any agency's dive tables, you incur a surface interval whether it was 4 feet or 100 ft and you were breathing off of a compressed gas cylinder. I use a computer just like a lot of experienced divers...

    Easy on for Gloves?

I too am in search of something to quickly don wet neoprene gloves and this method is not an option in the environment in which I dive. I have searched for lycra gloves similar to lycra socks. Anyone know where I can find them?

    Opinions on Beach Cities Scuba

On my way out for visiting the store in Huntington Beach, I asked about air fills. Up to 40% Nitrox costs $12.00 per fill and Air $6.00 per fill. They have three stores total: one in Newport Beach and one in Dana Point as well as Huntington Beach. I don;t think I will be returning to them...
