I have been banned from a large bit of Scuba Board so I am rarely on here anymore. At this point I have not picked an official date. Things seem to be pretty busy this spring.
Yes. I have arranged for a charter boat to take a couple of us out in the spring....well have the infor but have not booked the day yet. My intention is to try to do 2 longer dives (1 at the underwater forest and 1 at the wall) with the opportunity for a third dive if either turns out to be an...

Why should I have to tolerate insensitive people making fun of my Av.....when all I wanted was to look good for the moderation...
How big a problem is this? Since you are claiming to be leg heavy, my recommendation for something to try would be to adjust/move your weights so you are comfortable in trim (knees bent ~ 90°) in deeper water and in shallow water, extend your legs farther out so that are preventing the lighter...
The only time I took a mirror with me FOR UNDERWATER USE (not a small mirror/reflector for surface/safety use) was when I first started diving my drysuit and was having issues with my suit venting very slowly. I took an ugly green mirror down with me and when I ascended I checked to make sure...
Yeah, it is funny. I do not care what you are feeding them.....I just have a tough time feeling bad for anybody that loses a digit while hand feeding a moray. Darwin is right around the corner waiting for them to hand feed a GWS
I will admit to only scanning that article because all I am concerned about right now is if the light you are selling is brighter or not then the DRIS 1000. Is that in the article or does that article just describe the difference between LUX and LUMEN and how they relate to diving?
I was not comfortable with mask off functions while on scuba for a while. Quite frankly I got my certification but would say that IMO I just barely covered the standards (as I now interpret them). I performed the tasks in OW but was FAR from comfortable with it. So, I got into a pool and...
I have swam under water (maskless) and unless I am in a pool with nice clear water, I am unable to read my computer underwater. I wear corrective lenses however my prescription is not significant.....and in anything but a pool, once the mask comes off, vision is seriously impaired. This may...
For some reason my employer has blocked CBC.ca - Canadian News Sports Entertainment Kids Docs Radio TV so I cannot validate this thought......but is is possible that nwbrewer was referring to a comments section on the article and not the first poster in this thread?
Wow......21°C to Toronto at the end of October. I have seen Humber Bay (pictures are actually of Cedar Hill in Wiarton) hit 7°C in the middle of August depending on currents and turnover. I know you can do it, however I would not plan on doing a lot of diving the first time out. Even at the...
HIJACK
Anywhere near Gros Morne (I have heard this can be challenging diving but can be well worth it)? I have heard of charters running out of Rocky Harbour however that does not mean the shop is there. I think I might have read about a shop in Corner Brook but it was a while ago so my...
Sorry. I am waiting on word from my banker.....errrrr wife :D. If this one sells then I will try to commit to one from next batch. Last time I approached her for a Scuba related purchase, I told her I was going to have Merriam redefine "Want" to reflect the same as "Need".
I am still diving an original Cobra from (I am not 100% sure but....) at least 2005 (if not a year or two earlier). I have over 400 dives on it and *knock on wood* it is still kicking. While I DO accept that Suunto's customer service is lacking, I have been very happy with this computer. I...
