    Hamilton diver dies

Duly noted but you stated it was his first time on a rebreather. So what was it - first dive after certification or first dive on a rebreather?

    Wanted: Used KISS Sport

Way too new for used ones and almost everyone who has them loves them. As far as I know only a few have been sold 2nd hand. Also, the CK has always held it's value well so you may as well buy new if you seriously want one because the SK is likely to be the same.

    Cost of living

Wade, to give you an idea of the Kingston vs Toronto etc debate : Toronto = JHB but a ton cleaner and less chance of getting c-jacked at a robot. Figure cost of living similar to Constantia in Cape Town. Kingston= East London without the beach and decent surf. Cost of living about the same as...

Dive Rite rebreather - Ginnie Springs

Humour is the best medicine. I'm actually surprised that it got into production so fast given the debacle with the arrow that DR were almost 2 years late to market with (also made by farallon). Given the different configs on the test rigs, is there complete clarity on what will be delivered...

Sites other than Brockville / Rockport

Thanks for all the info and especially the PM's - very helpful. We're definitely going to book at least two full days in Kingston and then try the sites up-river that were suggested. Here's hoping the jinx is now over.

Sites other than Brockville / Rockport

Thanks Cliff. It's certainly starting to sound as if I just had bad luck. I'll definitely book a couple in Kingston then. Tobermory's not in the plans although we are trying to finish up with Jim Herbert even though that has weather risks of it's own.

Sites other than Brockville / Rockport

I didn't dive Kingston last year. My last season there was 2001. Also, if you read my post I'm not saying that the lake is blown out 75% of the time. I'm saying I was.

Sites other than Brockville / Rockport

I do a fair amount of diving in the Brockville/Rockport area and know the sites quite well. Last year I had a group of buddies up from California for a long weekend and we dove the usual sights with Wayne Green. This year they'll hopefully do a longer trip and would like to expand their...
