    Atlanta, GA LDS recomendations

I can now add Rainbow River and Blue Grotto to the log book....my wife and I did the $299 trip with SeaVentures this past weekend. BEST money we ever spent diving, $ for $. Met some great new dive buddies and will definitely be back to the springs in Florida soon! :bang:

    Wilma... wonderful, just wonderful

....or go diving! We leave in six hours for Rainbow River. Based on the lastest estimates, Wilma won't hit the Western Florida coast until sometime Monday. We'll sneak down, get in some diving, and be outta there by Sunday afternoon.

    Donation of used wetsuits?

Is there any place/organization (local preferred) that I can donate some lightly used wetsuits? I've got a 3mil shorty, 3mil full and 3mil hooded vest to let go. The shorty has maybe 50 dives, the full has about ten and the hooded vest has never been worn in the water. Any thoughts?

Ha ha...I really appreciate the thoughts. I guess I should have summarized the thread, so folks didn't have to read all the way through it. :D :D :05: Here's the synopsis: Fell in love with diving Fell in love with g/f She did Discover Scuba Got Certified (SDI O/W) She fell in...

I was there yesterday and snatched a new Xcel Hydrospan and Henderson hooded vest wetsuits. As far as prices are concerned, the hooded vests were comparable to what I've found online (with shipping) and the Hydrospan is too new to be anywhere online yet.

    The 'Business' of Diving?

With the DEMA show right around the corner, it got me thinking about divers, diving, equipment, trips, sand, beaches and good times in sunny, tropical waters :bfish: BTW, I am not "in the business", but ask this question purely from a curiousity standpoint: Q: Of all the money that is...

    Anybody dive this place?

You must live within a stone's throw of me as I am in Crabapple as well. Did my O/W and AOW Padi certs with SeaSports back in '99 and my wife and another couple went through SeaVentures for the SDI O/W class in the summer '04. It seems I'm getting bit by the SCUBA bug again after a trip to...

    Standard DM gratuity?

The Starbucks down the street from me has a "Tip Jar". FWIW, I have grown accustomed to tipping $5 per tank directly to my DM. Liveaboard, I'll tip 10%-15% of the total charter rate.
