I own the blizzard and just came back from a dive trip. I used to get cotton mouth from diving, but with this reg it is solved due to the moisture fins in the reg.
I just returned from my dive trip to Cozumel. I logged a dozen dives and took my brand new Olympus stylus 400 camera and pt-016 housing (bought it for the trip) down past 100 ft without any problems. But one day I decided to go snorkeling and then my housing flooded! The camera won't power up or...
All this information is great, thanks alot, but at the same time, it a bit confusing and unclear. Is there a web site or some where I can punch in the "dot" and find out for sure if the tank is safe or not?
What is the average life span of aluminum tanks? Yes of coarse they were stored properly with air in them...I found a set in the local paper, but they havn't been used in 10 years! Should It be a problem?
Actually with the shore dives...if you stay within 30 ft, it helps you get rid of the nitrogen in your body not saturate it. It's like doing a safety stop.
They should make some kind of exemption for divers! All you have to do is show them your c-card and prove that it is just diving equipment in the bag and you should be weight free! 50 lbs total for both bags!! My dive gear alone weighs 40 lbs! And that is packing my wet suit, light, batteries...
Citizen Aqualand Duplex with two tone metal band. I've been using it for 5 years now, never had a problem and I love it as a dive and dress watch. My only dislike is that it only saves 4 dives, so I have keep on top in logging my dives so I don't lose the information. Now Citizen is coming out...
I agree with parrotheaddiver! Cozumel is great! You can relax if you want to, with nobody bothering you trying to sell stuff, and it's not hard to be alone if you want to also. Beaches are not crowded. If you really want to be alone, rent a car and goto the other side of the island..the beaches...
It seems like I'm have no choice but bring four bags (my wife and I) and distribute the weight around all four to stay within the weight limit. Flashlights in my carry on!! I'm already packing two sets of regs! With the flashlights and batterier my carry-on will weigh a ton! lol
I'm looking for a dive buddy/instructor of mine. We seem to lost touch with each other and all fo the numbers I have are no longer good. His name is Julian Bennett, and he had a small dive shop in Port Dover. Also his wife operated a gift shop called "Whale's Tale". Any information will be...
Should I pack my regs in my suitcase and check it in or in my carry-on and have it with me? I was told to put it in my carry-on...why is this? What will happen if I put it in my suitcaes? It'll take up alot of room in my carry on...
I just picked up a housing for my digital camera..I'll be testing next week on my trip to Cozumel! I can't wait!!! Wish me luck, I'll try and bring back lots to pics to share with everyone.
