    Leisure pro

What was the basic question again? LP -- Great selection, good prices. I buy all my stuff there. No problems for the past 3 years. Had a flashlight issue about a year after I bought it. They replaced it without asking any questions (at no charge). Ari

    beauchat

Had a Beauchat back inflated BDC for about 2 years before replacing it with Dive Rite. I can't complain. It did its work, did not cause any problems and was altogether very good. Ari

    Non-rubber Biofin type fins?

Using biofins for some time now (the gray ones), without any rubber smells. As for the spring straps, you will be able to find them whre you get the fins. Try Leisurepro for both (that's where I got them). Ari

    Bouyancy charts

IF you want to save time and cut down on the errors, take your equipment and using a confined water area, work your weights until you can stabilize (become neutral) at 10-15 feet of water, with your tank at around 50 Bar (end of dive pressure) and you BCD empty. Naturally, you will need to...

    Jacket or back-inflation bc?

Walter, IMHO, the back inflated design, and especially a harness and wing setup (wheter BP or other) gives you a "cleaner" frontal area, with many possibilities to hang/attach equipment. In most cases it is also less restrictive. Ari

    Suunto Vyper?

Vyper is a very nice computer, although conservative. I use it and don't really have any problems with it. True, some of my buddies' computers will allow more BT, especially during a series of dive but it never caused any BIG problem. Ari

    Jacket or back-inflation bc?

When I got my C-card i went out and bought a back inflated BC. It took me a couple of dives to get used to it but I never used a jacket since. The bottom line is that both designs have pros and cons and it case that you are a rec diver, both will do just fine. The back inflation has some...

They even replaced a flooded light, after over a year and with no receipt. Most of my gear was bought at LP. Generally, I am very happy with it. Ari

One wing for singles and small doubles

... They don't like them to be called bungees. In any case, if tightened, the taco effect is almost totally eliminated with a 15 liter tank (although it is never the same as using a much smaller wing, naturally). Ari

    Mares regs for deep?

My deepest dives with the Mares mr-12 axis were to around 140 ft. No problem what-so-ever. Mares make great regs. I also dive the SP MK25 with S600 second stage. A great reg, So I have a basis for comparison. There are also enough tests around the web, especially the latest from Rodale's, you...

    Taba Heights

I would not expect anything specific. Although it is in the desert, it is not as bad as you might think. When traveling to Sinai, I never take any vaccinations. Ari
