That is interesting. Halcyon had a recall on their inflators few years ago, I hope this not a repeat. I was able to deal with it on my dives by inflating orally but for many this issue could have meant no dives and ruined an expensive trip.

I took it to living seas and they replaced the inflator. I will take the original inflator to my original dealer when I get back.

The diving at Browning Pass is accurately described as advanced. I would recommend getting comfortable diving in cold water in a drysuit and currents prior to diving there. Being a self-reliant diver is important at Browning Pass.

I have only been there in April and Oct. Generally, the vis is better in spring and fall.

Oct is a great time. The visibility will be excellent. You will also see more lion's mane jellyfish during that time and the kelp will be thicker.
