    when i took the class i "rented" the inhouse equipment it had aluminum tanks. by the flat bottom. Round bottom tanks steel. I dont really know why mine was fitted with alum tanks. but, i assume it has something to do with diving in my country is 99% salt water diving. in fact.... thinking...

    so the back plate matters. I was using my halcyon stainless plate. which sits low on my back to give me a good trim on doubles. i use 2 lbs of tail weight diving doubles in 3mm wetsuit. so let me get it right... carbon plates. in 3mm wetsuit. will make me more or less be in the ball park. but...

    umm.... im still in TDI CCR Mod1. before id wana go on in the ccr direction.. the trim really bothers me... id end up kneeling on the bottom without 3 lbs of lead in my left and right shoulder. I understand most are already further in my training... im still in the 1 3L Dil and 1 3L O2, valve...

    yes even with 50m dives on OC... i realize... if there's a wing failure i dont really have a redundancy inflation, well.. i do an smb and a lift bag.

    I have a techdiver friend who's ahead of me and yes we seem to have the same weight balance... he has 3 lbs on each shoulder strap using light fins and wetsuit... but perfect with dry suit on.... and yeah.. been thinking about the drysuit... but just $$$$

    yes went to a lighter fin. Fourth Element Tech fins is light. lighter than OMS Slipstreams does the plate help? i mean it's staying at your back? not back to front bias. but i do have an aluminum i should try that Travel stand... a bit lighter... hmm..

    yes i understand Apeks was bought by Aqua Lung. But yes Aqualung has been bought... so.... in the future we will still have apeks regulators and their parts? i love my xtx200 or xtx50 regulators.

    Hi i did my TDI Mod1 JJCCR course about a year ago... what bothered me the most was the trim. I coudnt be trim. i was wearing a 3mm wetsuit. with a lightweight fin (recreational) and it would always attempt to pull me feet down. as in vertical. had to put about 3 lbs of weight on each shoulder...
