Need suggestions for drysuit hood that fits without feeling like my heads in a vice and leads to headache. I’ve tried several
but always feel restricted with face squeeze that causes mask to not seal. Don’t like to struggle putting on and taking off. I have large head (xxl) with full beard...
Hope some of this will help with your questions:
* I was on the 10 day trip with Master Liveaboard in May 2019 and would go back in a heart beat. Enjoyed all aspects of the trip and wish I could do it again.
* Only stayed one night in Keto at the Wyndom Airport hotel then flew in to San...
In the regional forum section for Mexico there is a thread concerning a Camera tax for people coming into Mexico. It has become somewhat confusing with no definite advice/answer to the question: will we be required to pay customs tax or any tax on our camera equipment when we come to Mexico for...
My trip May 2019. 5mil with 2 mil optional vest. Cressi Pentagon 5 mil and Henderson 2 mil vest. Be prepared to have your wetsuit nicked, torn and well rubbed while on the trip from holding onto Lava Rocks. I would not recommend expensive wetsuit. Drysuit is not necessary and is PIA in the...
10% is what I plan and is what I tipped for last Galapagos Trip. If really great crew, food and service that 10% can go up.
At end of my Galapagos trip was handed two envelops and was asked to split tip based on what I thought should go to dive guides and what to crew. First time for that and...
FYI it’s MBT,(Maximum Bottom Time) rather than MTB:wink:. Take a look at Below 130 on Facebook. Contact him great guy and Wealth of info on Tech Diving around Pensacola, I.e. .Oriskany
I was there in May 2019 and had same question about this requirement (see my earlier post). My insurance was through DAN both the dive coverage and travel insurance. Before I departed I called DAN and requested something to prove my medical coverage and they provided a very good letter. When I...
Check my previous comment. Also, not the greatest shore dives but there are some. Remember you are also very close to Cave Country which means great springs diving and no you don't have to be cave certified unless you plan on going into a cave. Stay in touch and book early.
In the planning process and have few questions.
1. If arriving day prior to boarding boat in San Jose Del Cabo, where would you recommend staying for the night?
2. Recommend places to eat?
3. Thoughts on Quino El Guardian boat?
4. Any "woulda, shoulda or coulda" thoughts?
Dive Pro’s and MBT Divers are very professional and highly recommended. NIUHI dive charter is top notch. Contact Capt Andy, if he is booked he will steer you in right direction. Google them. Some great diving around P’cola. Recommend you check and book early
Just wanted to revive this. Without a doubt this is one of the most ridiculous and funniest threads I have read, yet so full of facts/tips. Almost worthy of the Pub and in contention with the thread posted elsewhere on cigar smoking on a live aboard
Yes it is fine. Just like all year, some days you may get blown off but never know until close to the time. Some very good dive boats and safe Captains who will watch weather closely. In April would not recommend wearing a skin or 3 mil, still a little nippy.
