I’m heading to puerto galera in Feb with my wife. Thinking about booking El Galleon (I was going back and forth between that and scandi divers). My wife dives but isn’t as fanatical as me so she’ll probably want to hang around the resort some times while I dive. Is el galleon a good choice for that?
I am more of an any dive is a good dive kind of guy but I think you successfully sold me on Disneyland lol. I’ll be back in Japan fairly frequently so will figure out some proper dive time on another trip and definitely want to hit Okinawa again
Thanks guys will see buddhasummer has any further insight! For sure I would do Okinawa but that’s not happening this trip. If diving doesn’t look good I’ll go to Disneyland lol
Hi as the title states I’ve got the possibility of one dive day on an upcoming trip to japan (mid may).
I’ll be in Tokyo, Fukuoka, and kumamoto. Just wondering
1) where is my best bet to dive from
2) is it worth it with just 1 day
overall you're happy with this? i'm in singapore and when i got back from my last trip realized the flange on my zeagle express tech bladder broke which means replacing the entire bladder so it's basically new BCD time.. i was looking at the DGX.
slightly concerned with weight as all our...
Found a killer deal on a new old stock bare velocity suit. it would be equivalent of about $100usd. but because it’s been sitting around the rubber trim over the seams is peeling off. Will this make a difference? Can’t tell if it’s purely cosmetic or helping seal the suit
Side note I was...
i have an IP gauge. its just the cost of tanks here that make it tricky in this 'modern society' lol. almost all diving is travel diving here so owning tanks isn't the norm. i could always rent a tank if i wanted to give it a shot, or see if any buddies may have one
ok wow i didn't realize there were so many replies on here! thank you all for the input. i would DEFINITELY like to understand better how to adjust and/or service stuff myself. it's slightly tricky as i live in singapore and tanks/airfills are not really a common thing here like other countries...
thanks for the quick replies. especially with covid, not a lot of diving done. so it's super annoying to service after using it 3 times or something but yeah i'll send it in
i've got an aqualung titan lx reg that's worked pretty great for quite a few years. the last coupel of years though its seemed to have some issues not too long after servicing. I haven't been able to dive a lot, so its' not getting much wear and tear but it seems like in less than a year the...
Second dive at our only local dive site in Singapore, pulau hantu. Still trying to figure this thing out but these were the best of the lot. TG-6, Olympus housing, weefine smartfocus 1000 light
Anyone have experience with the fiber optic adapter that comes with the PT-059? It seems like some of the flash still comes through and would light up backscatter so I’m wondering if I should get something like the AOI adapter found here
AOI FCA-01 Fiber Optical Cable Adapter for TG-3, TG-4...
Yeah I might give arm and clamp style a try. I have a tray and arms but it started getting a bit out of control. Bought a tray. Added arms. Had to get buoyancy arms to offset weight the little camera started turning in to a beast ha
Took my tg6 for its first dive yesterday. We have pretty bad conditions locally but this is what I’ve got to show for it (after some on phone editing).
Also wondering about light position. I’m using a single handle tray and video light but seemed to have trouble getting it positioned. When it...
