New charges for Sotis (Add helium)and Emilie Voissem (Nexus Underwater)

A cutout is like a middle man, and Kings X is a time out in a game of tag your it. So I believe this means that they thought they could use an intermediary to prevent getting caught.

Filmmaker Rob Stewart dies off Alligator Reef

But there is no way to just shut off the ADV on. rEvo. Definitely not endorsing this practice, but I could see a rEvo diver doing this to run minimum loop on the bottom. The ADV is one of the things I do not like about rEvos.

    cylinder identification

That tank is a Dolphin 95. As noted it was manufactured by Coyne and distributed by dolphin cylinders. The diameter is right around 8 inches. Anyone know anything about Dolphin Cylinders

Filmmaker Rob Stewart dies off Alligator Reef

John Thanks for taking the time to type out those examples. I agree it is unlikely that CO had anything to do with Rob's accident; I was just expanding on Tony's post about The affinity or CO to hemoglobin, and how high PO2 can mitigate that pathology.

Filmmaker Rob Stewart dies off Alligator Reef

Tony, I agree with everything you wrote above, but at higher PO2s there is enough dissolved oxygen in the blood to maintain metabolic function even with much of the hemoglobin bound by CO. If the PO2 drops with no hemoglobin to carry the O2 suddenly you become hypoxic and it's over and out.

Diver Died in Panama City FL

I believe this was a discover scuba experience not an OW class. As was brought up earlier the details of the tragety are very hard to nail down.

Devil's Hole Recreation Area (nwfwmd) - Upper Econfina Creek

Devils Hole is a sinkhole with an upstream spring in the floor on the eastern side. There is a strong flow with a fairly advanced sidemount cave. All the incoming water seems to flow down through the breakdown/debris cone in the center of the sink. It is speculated that the water from the sink...

    Diving the Empire Mica

It's been a couple years for me, but at that time the the bow and stern were mostly flattened. There was still some structure amidships, and the boilers were standing proud; it is always a great dive just for the history. Hope you have a great dive, Mark

If you read Southsea Adventure by Willard Price as a kid you would have been haunted by this possibility.

    Weezle undersuits?

Quite like the one I have. Decent warmth even when damp. BUT you do have to add enough air to the suit to loft it. This has obvious bouyancy ramifications.

Does anyone feel that culling invasive lionfish is a bad thing?

Well I just do not know what to do. I know my dive buddies love shooting the lions, but it still feels odd to me to shooting ornamentals. When I was a kid we caught them and sold them at the local fish shop. I bet the local market is flooded with lions these days.

    Bad Planning.... could kill you.

Frank, With modern scooters and rebreathers a dive to 10,000 feet at Manatee is just a matter of 90 minutes of trigger time. It is very easy if NOTHING goes wrong. This is the problem; once you have done it a few times it is easy to say "I don't really want to deal with all those bailout tanks...
