Can a hose leak at the metal crimp/sleeve at the first stage be repaired. It actually feels like there is a pinhole in the hose leading to the console just outside the crimp. Thank you for your help before I spend $$$ on a new console.

Now that we have established that a pony may or may not be a good thing, should the pony be pressurized or not? I as an admitted neo-naut vote for having air at the ready with no fumbling with valves and the like. Seems like the safest way or am I missing something.
The scary part is that while UP and a couple of others are just doing their jobs as moderators (provocateurs), there are actually some on this board that espouse this $#@! (out there in the real world) to inexperienced divers and in doing so endanger them. So in parting. Keep your pony close...
I am working on a new invention. It is a pony that releases all its air when in contact with water! This solves the problem of being lulled into a "false sense of security" because now I know it will be empty when I need it. Just trying to be helpful.

I have an idea! Lets discuss the merits or lack thereof of emergency backup chutes in skydiving! I am in favor of them even though they may just be a psychological crutch and I may not be able to deploy it anyway in an OOA cuz I didnt practice enough with it. I am so sorry I ever entered this...
Do you want to split hairs or what! Of course any reasonable person would practice with their equipment. What I obviously meant was that if I dive safe and smart there would never be a reason to use the darn thing. Listen
guys, if you are gonna nitpick and twist every word... I can get that...

On the sober side, (are you sober now?) can you be suggesting it is better to be without a redundant air source than with one? That's what it sounds like. Before I ever got my o/w, I was a passenger on a private boat where an experienced diver had a rapid depressurization from a leak...

I am new o/w recreational diver and never go deeper than 100ft (yet). An air2 setup with a 19 cuft pony seems like it would be a perfect setup for me. I dont have 13 reasons, just one.
Sincerely
Peter
