Anyone here use the GoPro HERO3 LCD Touch Bacpac while diving?

So, the bacpac comes with 2 different doors? A hard one and a soft one? - (I don't care about touch functionality) - One rated for great depth and one not? And the hard one will fit on the new dive housing?

    Cayo Santa Maria

Hey hafpint - I, too, am having a tough time finding much info on Cuba diving centres. We're thinking about the Paradisus Rio De Oro in Holguin. Only bit of info I can find is that they contract out the work to "International Diving Centre" (supposedly nearby) but Google brings up nothing useful.

For what it's worth, here's my experience from last month in Okanagan Lake, BC.. In 37 degree water (that's 5 degrees on the Canadian scale), I dove wet.... wore a hooded 8mil wetsuit, with 8mil boots, which was all fine, but.... I was apprehensive about wearing the 8mil lobster claw gloves...

    Pre-dive rituals?

Reviving an old thread here... any pre-dive rituals you have (other than standard gear & buddy check, etc) that might be a little different or 'odd'? I have 2 things I do before every dive: While rinsing my mask, I scoop up some water and snort it through my nose... this way, I'm acclimated...

    Help IDentifying WWII Era Equipment

Hello all - I've recently come into possession of some original photographs of my late grandfather, who was an underwater mine-disposal and munitions-disposal specialist during WWII, in his full kit! I have NO CLUE where to start looking for info on the equipment he's wearing in these pictures...

How deep have you gone on air?

57... Only 57 feet, but it was a good lesson learned... While certified for only 40feet, I became "that guy"... You know.. the squirrel chaser. I was pretty diligent up to that point to stay close to the group, but I just HAD to try and get a picture of myself next to some big ole' fish. I...

    2 wetsuits at once??

An alternate title to this thread could be... Cold Water Diving - Ghetto-Style... So, I'll be doing my first ever cold water diving pretty soon, and I don't want to invest in a drysuit until I have the opportunity to try on (quite) a few first; unfortunately, I'll have to wait until I get to...
