Question Cozumel Dive Shop for Group Wanting to be Certified

Scuba Club Cozumel would be a good option. Accommodation and meals on site. Great shore dive right in front of the resort. On site classroom and excellent instructors. Boats pick you up right at their pier.

    Victoria Vis conditions?

Wow - almost a year since I posted in this thread. Visibility at most central island dive sites is good to great. Last few dives at a variety of sites, ie: Madrona, Cottam Point, and Oak Leaf, the vis has been 50 plus feet at depth, and less in the shallows due to the high winds stirring things...

    Oceanic Geo 4.0

After two weeks in Cozumel, I really like the Peregrine. It was easy to read underwater, and provided all the information I needed for safe dives. Easily adjustable for air or nitrox. Very happy with the choice I made. Divegoose

Need advice photo trip to scuba club cozumel

Just returned from two weeks at Scuba Club - had a great divemaster in Daniel. I believe he is relatively new to Scuba Club. He was great for finding small things, and had a vast knowledge of all the different critters. Divegoose

    Oceanic Geo 4.0

Well after much research and checking different computers out, I went with the Shearwater Peregrine as my backup. Some of my local dive buddies are also using the Peregrine and really like it. One feature that was a selling point for me was the ability to adjust text and colour backgrounds...

    Oceanic Geo 4.0

I am looking at replacing my old Oceanic Veo 200 with the Oceanic Geo 4.0. My main computer is the Oceanic Pro Plus 3. I like the idea of both computers using the same algorithms. Some of my buddies have gone to the Shearwater Perdix, but it doesn't seem compatible with their other computers...

    1st time to Cozumel Questions

Been to Coz a few times now. For a classy meal, we have always gone to Casa Mission - great food and great atmosphere. When we were there last March, there were two different Mariachi bands. They went from table to table taking requests. For most dinners we go to the Mega or Chedraui and pick...

    No wetsuits available.

Thanks Marie13, I have checked Scuba.com, and other sites, but no one has the suit I am looking for. I have now ordered an Aquaflex, which I am told is available in Canada. Hopefully one or both show up in the next week or so. Divegoose

    No wetsuits available.

Ordered a Dynaflex 5.5 mm through my dive shop. They contacted the distributor who advised that the suit is no longer available in Canada, but could be brought in from the U.S. Delivery time would be 6 weeks. Still waiting, and no response from the distributor when my dive shop inquires...

How much to tip dive masters and boat crew in Cozumel?

I generally tip what I can afford. Being retired, I live on a fixed income. I actually have to work part time so that I have the opportunity to travel. When I do travel, I have a budget that I need to follow. With the current exchange rates, my Canadian dollar is at least 30% less than the...
