Suunto Eon Steel And Its Algorithm Lock Logic.

Yes, fully aware I commented on a 2 year old thread. I didn't think passage of time prevented anyone from posting a reply, certainly this forum didn't. I can see you clearly disagree with my opinion and that is your right but I would point out ... (1) The manuals for the mighty Shearwater...

Suunto Eon Steel And Its Algorithm Lock Logic.

Dear All, The Suunto EON Steel does not completely lock the diver out. If you break your decompression obligation(s) under the algorithm it only locks the algorithm not the computer as a whole (as the data it produces is not sufficiently safe to rely upon for reasonably safe decompression...

    Top 5 Warm-Water Sidemount Fins

Completely agree. I have never understood the need for (or been able to cope with) heavy fins. So far the Apeks RK3 is the best fin for me, cold or warm water. All the best.

Thoughts on Atomic Gear( New diver thinking about purchase)

You won't go wrong with an Atomic regulator. I own an M1 and a T3 but I would be equally comfortable with an ST1 or Z3. Fantastic regs, they breath like no others.

How many regulators do you own?

3 ... 1 × Atomic M1 (plus M1 octopus) - superb. 1 x Atomic T3 (plus T2 octopus) - superb. 1 x Apeks DS4 + XTX40 - going back to the shop as it failed on me yesterday whilst kitting up for a dve. It is 9 months old and used as a back up on side cylinder. Apalled to be honest given how much...

    Which Miflex for Atomic Z2?

Miflex hoses aren't advisable on Atomic regs as they are not sufficiently big bored. Atomic hoses are noticeably bigger than all others which is why Atomic regs deliver so much gas. ---------- Post added June 12th, 2015 at 11:08 PM ---------- Sorry, the size (bore) of the Atomic hoses is one...

    SP MK21/S560 vs AA Z2

Excellent choice. I dive the Atomic M1 in really cold (1-2°C) water and have just bought the T3. Atomic regs wipe the floor with everything else I have used and they are brilliant in cold water too. Happy diving with your new regs.

    Apeks RK3 Fins

Hey CBK, you're most welcome. They're really good fins, in fact the nicest I think I've used. All the best.

    Apeks RK3 Fins

CBK, I got the largest size they do 'Super' which fit my drsuit boots (UK size 13). My feet are a UK 11.5 - 12 and I wear thick quilted weezle bootees under my drysuit. Not sure how a US 9 - 9.5 will translate to my UK sizing but I'll be getting a smaller size for use with wetsuit + boots. The...

    Apeks RK3 Fins

Hi, I dived (not 'dove') my Apeks RK3 fins today. I really rate them. Someone has listened to divers' feedback and made some jet fins / jet fin style fins in a softer, lighter and pliable substance. They are really light and work well with my drysuit and I would use these fins (in a smaller...

    Apeks RK3 Fins

Oh tbone1004, you miss the point. I posted a reply answering a memner's in good faith questiom with an in good faith reply and your reply has gone off topic. I have been educated though (in a certain kind of way) so I thank you for that. Best regards and happy + safe diving with the kit you...

    Apeks RK3 Fins

I personally rule out Hog products especially their regulators) as they are hard / impossible to get + service in the UK. I also wouldn't use any of the products you mention as I prefer manufacturers over manu-packers / re-badgers.

    Apeks RK3 Fins

I have just ordered a pair so haven't used them yet but they look top quality. For the type of diving you have described I think the Apeks RK3 fins might be a little heavy and, of the fins you mention, I'd probably go with the Mares ones. Personally I'd ignore the HOG product range in its...

    Hello

Hi, I'm a new member just checking things out. Not really sure how to post questions but has anyone used the Sherwood Axis back flotation BC? What are your thoughts on it? Thanks,
