    Cobalt issue

I went on my first dive in almost a year today, with my cobalt. It’s battery charge was 96%. When I first got into the water, it read,”dive 1”. After a few minutes I noticed that it said dive 5 (?). Maybe 20 minutes in I was on dive #22 and it was saying I was 10 min to deco. Computer said my...

Palau Aggressor II trip report (long)

Thanks to all the earlier posts to my questions pre trip. This was the best trip ever!! We left Seattle Sat am and got into Palau around 8:30pm Sunday. We were promptly greeted by the Aggressor II staff. After getting to the boat there was a very complete briefing about the facility. One of...

    Palau Aggressor

These have been amazing suggestions! I have a running list going now as we leave a week from tomorrow (yeah!). I am still nervous about the reef hooking but I'm sure will feel better when it's under my belt so to speak. Thanks for all the help everyone! Deb

    Palau Aggressor

My husband and I are doing our first liveaboard this Sept from the Palau Aggressor. Anyone have tips, things to absolutely do/bring/not do? I also admit to having some trepidation about the reef-hooking thing. Hopefully only because I've never done it. Any advice is welcome.

Trip report Cayman brac and Grand cayman

I should add that both dive ops let you dive your computer. You had the option of doing your own dive or a guided dive. Because the briefings and the compass orientation was so great this was easy to do. With that we ended up with 40+ minute dives the first dive of the day. The shallow dives...

Trip report Cayman brac and Grand cayman

We just got home from a week on Brac and a week in GC. The first week was at Brac. We stayed a a condo i found onlin ( see www.ourcaymancondo.com). I cannot rave enough about Reef Divers, the dive op we used there. They call themselves a "valet dive service". That really sums it up. They...

    Mayan Palace Riviera Maya (Cancun)

Yucatech divers in Playa del Carmen is a great op. When we stayed at the Mayan Palace a few years ago they were the op group that came to the hotel to do the pool stuff. Not sure if that is who they(Mayan Palace) still contract with. We liked them so much that we used them again on a later...

    Carnival Valor & Diving

We did this cruise in January. I have to say, as a diver it was my first (and last cruise). On the plus side: The itinerary. And there is enought room, if you get a balcony, to wash your gear in the shower and dry it on your balcony for the next day's use. The down side: It is a pain in...

    Hi from the Northwest

Hi DeepDog -my last dive here in Puget sound was a night dive with viz of about 4ft...LOL. Decided I wanted to see what I was heading for. The only problem is waiting months to go to the next warm water vacation. Would really like to blow bubbles more often...

    Valor - Diving in March?

Sorry you opted out of this cruise. This is to be our first cruise, although we have dove most of these places in the past (with the exception of GC). Since this is a new ship I guess I'll have the first report back--unless anyone going earlier in Jan?
