I should note that while we all thought that the snakes were Cottonmouths, I did a bit of looking on the net today. I have determined that all of the snakes that I saw (The ones I got pics of) were simple Brown Water Snakes, or Nerodia taxispilota.

I can attest to this. I had to get cheap tires, and they cut right into the sand.

I would think that people will still be there. I'll want to get at least one dive in after lunch, and lunch will probably run for a while.

I use a 5 pocket, and 2 pound weights (got those) :D If I have to, I can make do without the belt. I was just a little weirded out last night.

The tide chart seemed to indicate that high tide wouldn't be till the evening. While the Marine forcast does indeed say 15-20 knot winds, the venice forcast Here indicates 6-7 knot winds out of the east. With similar conditions today, the Surf forcast for Venice says ~1ft surf, with...
