    Question regarding tank fills

I am very forntunate to have unlimited access to a Bauer system capable of 5000 psi. I slow fill my HP tanks to around 3600 and usually end up at 3400 or so. Hot fills will short your fill considerably but, 2200, is a bit extreme. My thoughts are, if they are shorting you, they are aware of it...

Should I get slightly lower quality octo than my primary?

ALL my seconds if there are one, are as good as the primary!! I usually dive independant doubles or sidemount so I have redundant systems. On occasion I dive conventional primary secondary setups. Why skimp when you already have a small fortune invested???!!!

    WTB Tank Whip (For Cleaning)

Now don't quote me on this,,,but as I recall I used some CPVC pipe and a coupling glued together for a thread protector. The coupling kept the pipe from dropping into the tank and was so simple it worked well.

    Full Bottle of ... ?

In our neck of the woods, during those times, the whiskey was put in a bag and the transporter would tie it to the back of a boat. If the authorities came too close they would cut the bag free and it would sink to the bottom. The whiskey I drank came from Canada and was definitely not diluted.

    Full Bottle of ... ?

I have sampled prohibition whiskey that has been found on the bottom of the St Lawrence. A man I dive with found it, and all was intact for the most part. A little cork residue was filtered out by a coffee filter and it was rebottled. The flavor was excellent!! I keep looking and hope to find my...

My new (to me ) Treasure Hunting ARK..

Hopefully when you modified the front deck you did not eliminate any of the foam flotation. If not, I hope you enjoy your boat.

    St. Lawrence River temperature

At this time, if I had to guess, low to mid 30's. Tops would be 38-39. However it should be warming soon with ice out. My bay on the river is still icy and what has opened, skims over at nite with the low temps and lack of sun.

Brand new compressor triggering "overload release motor protection switch"

As I recall from some previous projects, the standard voltage is 380V 3 phase in Chile. Thus your current would be proportionally higher at the lower than rated voltage. You need to check with the vendor if in fact this unit will work properly and last as expected with the lower voltages and...

What are things you wish you could tell your past self (SCUBA RELATED)?

99% of the time it's not a gear problem! Rather a skill problem! You don't need a BPW to dive properly and all other brands other than the ones your LDS sells, ARE NOT JUNK!!!

    Beach dolly for scuba tanks

I would hinge the bottom attachment points at the platform and handle.Use some 1/8" stainless cable from the handle down to the platform at the far points. Would help being foldable and the cables would give some constraining support to the tanks.

I finally bought a house in Cave Country! W00T!!!

Gotta love that metal wall sheathing!! At least that looks like what you are using! Lasts a long time and with current lumber prices, way cheaper in the long run. Not to mention, you should not have to paint or seal it. (I get tired of painting before I even find a brush)

    WTB Tank Whip (For Cleaning)

As I recall , I think I some how configured a bow tie configuration by using one of my auger bit extensions that is made by Greenlee. I changed to a similar set up like above. Found that the ends cleaned better.

    WTB Tank Whip (For Cleaning)

I have made a whip a little bit ago. Similar to the happydiver pic. I did some lighting projects a while back and ended up with 500' of 1/16" stainless braided cable. If you would like to try it, I would gladly send you some to do this. Hell, I would even cut it into any length you want.

Need to cut the cord FIOS!

We are currently on Spectrum, $15 a month for internet. It's not the 100 mbs but it works well with our smarter than me tv. All kinds of streaming channels and for over the air I bought a hi-gain antenna for $25 on Ebay. We get about 13 channels, both US and Canada combined. Watch Netflix, Hulu...
