Only thing is, he hasn't lived there long, and doesn't know which shore dive sites are likely to produce a few bugs. He's a Lt. Cmdr...

    Cool destination needed for divers

Sounds to me like you are exactly describing Little Cayman Beach Resort. The island is in virtual seclusion compared to the other Cayman Islands (Grand Cayman and The Brac). The resort is diver focused, still luxurious, they have a shop on-site, a nice little pool, and the whole thing is...

    Gratitude - Thank you SB!

Can someone please change the thread title to: "Gratitude - Thank you SB! (minus DiverBuoy)" ;) Well, you may call it butt-kissing PADI-Boy, but I call it gratitude, because I'm sincerely grateful. And, Ben, I was composing a separate post just to thank you and praise the amazing Oxycheq...

    Gratitude - Thank you SB!

A few years ago, I was in the market for "a new BC" and like many divers started searching the web for what was out there. Well, that search led me to ScubaBoard, and that discovery led to MANY hours scouring historical posts full of thoughts and recommendations on BC's and other diving issues...

    Stroke reprieve

It's strange to think of a badly burst vertebra disk as a happy ending, but in this case it is. Congrats on having the courage to reconsider your medical options, and enjoy the trip! P.S. Originally I thought this thread was about misplaced name-calling. :D

Boat Diving with Uncle Pug (the diver) on Uncle Pug (the boat)

Yesterday, Sheck33, UP and I ventured out from Everett for a couple of dives off of Hat Island aka Gedney Island. Boy, what an amazing day to be out on (and under) the water!!! 72 degrees, sunny, a little wind, and pretty darned near flat seas. :) We planned on meeting up at the marina at...

    To U-Boat buffs

Not sure, but I believe they're probably vents. U-260 Article by Jerry Smith "Immediately behind the conning tower you come across the air vents for the accommodation and engine room and the folded Walter snorkel. "

so who has ever been/ felt like orca bait?

Well, I haven't been in the water with Orcas yet, that I know of, but I'd LOVE to have the chance! Sure, it would be a little bit freaky, and there would be a huge adrenalin rush, but it would be amazing to interact with the very top of the ocean's food chain. :)
