0 lemons at the wrecks on Monday, 1 near Lemon Drop. I've actually only seen only 1 lemon in the past few weeks at the wrecks.

Crystal river Manatee Tour is flash photography allowed?

No strobes inside Three Sisters Springs. Outside is ok as long as you are not rapid firing and can ignore the jerks yelling at you for using strobes.

The Sharks of Palm Beach County

Summer is prime time for silky & dusky sharks plus lemon, sandbar & bull sharks may be around. Water will generally be 80+ unless you hit a cold water upwelling.

Jupiter is going crazy right now...great whites, a mako & a whale shark were all spotted within the last week! I managed to miss all of those but have been seeing tiger, great hammerhead, lemon, bull, reef & nurse sharks.

    Palm beach shark diving

The sharks are here year-round. Last April I saw tiger, lemon, bull, silky, reef & nurse sharks. This was my last dive w/Emerald: The public education due to shark feeding dives is indeed doing something. 1. A group of commercial fishing operations agreed not to fish near the lemon shark...

South Florida boat diving - DSMB sizing?

I recommend the biggest DSMB you can carry for WPB & Jupiter, FL. I've been through a handful and my current bag, which I love, is the Carter CBPF-75.

Reef Dive or Baited Shark Dive off Palm Beach?

That day was with Emerald Charters (scubaworks.com) and their usual sites are the deep ledge and the ESSO Bonaire Wreck. Calypso (calypsodivecharters.com) and Florida Shark Diving (floridasharkdiving.com) will also get you close up with sharks. Jim's boat was at the wreck on Thursday too; I just...

    Blue Heron Bridge Trolls III

Those things are more dangerous than most people think...let them do what they want and you get the ticket! And you didn't mention that you're ConchyJoe :D btw, I'm in trouble for not releasing any images yet because I forgot to turn off back button focus and none of the manatees came out...

Reef Dive or Baited Shark Dive off Palm Beach?

Shark dive! The winter months are ideal for shark diving and it's very likely to see tigers and hammerheads this time of year. We saw a dozen bulls & lemons plus two tiger sharks yesterday. Save the reefs for the summer during turtle nesting season.

    Blue Heron Bridge Trolls III

It's done because otherwise the park would look like a landfill. If a bottle isn't occupied then it's better to remove it. On another note...trying to get a parking spot the last couple of weekends reminds me why I stopped diving there!

    SMB Question

When deflating and/or rinsing after use the water was pink and the dye still ran after a year of use. The bag started fading after only a few months of use. Also, I would fully inflate it at the service and it still wouldn't stand up by itself. The Carter bag is far superior than the newer DAN...

    SMB Question

Forget the DAN bag and get a Carter 75. The Carter actually stands up easily at the surface and doesn't leak dye every time it gets rinsed. Personal Floats Safety Sausage Tubes

I'm glad he's been getting a lot of press lately but I miss the days where I could randomly show up on a Saturday morning and grab a seat. :D
