The Tusa dc hunter is only $220 so I thought it was pretty cheap for what it does. And it could be used a bottom timer in gauge mode right?
I checked the manual and bugman is right it does have the ability to switch gases.
It doesn't have a deep stop function though. I'm not sure how important...
Hi everybody,
I'm looking to buy my first dc and want something that will take me through to entry level cave diving.
I have the Tusa dc hunter in mind but it doesn't have the ability to switch gases underwater. Is this an important feature?
Is it the new model or the old model. I'm looking at buying the old model because it's going for $250 and looks like it has enough features to last me a while.
Hi all,
I'm looking for a computer that is good value for under $350 US. I am looking for something that will do nitrox and take me to wreck and cave diving. The uwatec aladin tec 2 and mares puck computer look good to me. Is there any other wrist computers you would recommend?
I went for a dive today with some friends who had Oms 45 bungees and they worked fine but I did notice the taco effect. I've decided to get a 32 and keep the 45 for when I move to doubles. I'll still get a wrist computer, probably a uwatec aladin tec 2. Thanks for your help.
I mean loss of money on the 45lb wing now that I need a 30lb. But I just checked out the oms site and they market the 45lb as a ideal single wing when used with an sta. This is getting confusing.
Would a console computer be ideal since I will need an SPG anyway? The oceanic VEO 100 looks like...
Thanks for the advice.
What I'm thinking of now is buying a 33lb and keeping the 45lb for the future. I'll downgrade from a wrist to a console computer to compensate for the loss. Or is that a bad idea considering I would like to do wreck and penetration diving in the future?
I live in Australia and the cost to post it back is $50. I might hold on to it and go see the tech diver at the dive shop who told me he's selling all his gear because he can't dive anymore. Might be able to get a 30 for $100 if I'm lucky.
Ok so it's more than what I need. Will it still be usable or would it be dangerous?
Here is what it is

Hi all,
Ive been searching the forum but couldn't find the answer I was looking for.
I am new to diving and just ordered my first bp/w setup It includes an AL plate and an OMS single bladder horseshoe 45lb wing with NO bungee. But since doing more research I think the 45lb may be too big...
