Effort to get to Cenderwashi...can you elaborate? It's already a lot of effort to get to/from Sorong. How much extra effort are we talking about? I know some are VERY interested in whale sharks and I don't think they will see them on our liveaboard.

We're going from Ambon to Raja so Raja would be at the end of the trip. You're right about some wanting to relax and others wanting to continue diving. Any idea if there are any land based/non diving activities people might want to do in Raja?

You were right on about the high winds. Diving was canceled a couple days (unless we wanted to go to the Blue Hole). I can't speak to the police targeting tourists. We just followed the rules and wore masks off resort. Their country, their rules.

Well, it's not exactly my first time. I took a hot crowded school bus down what was then a dirt road to Placencia in 2001. That's where I finished my open water certification. Seems like it's about time I go back!

If it was me, I would have declined the fluids. But, the person with the condition didn't see the harm and didn't mind the poke. It wasn't sea lice....or if it was they were the most aggressive sea lice I've ever seen to get through a 3mm wetsuit.
