    Full Body Rash Guard?

I wear a full body rash guard while on LOB dive trips. I find it helps with the multiple donning and doffing of my wetsuit during the course of the day. Wearing lycra dive socks with the full body rash guard makes things go smoother as well.

    Airtravel

I have been using an airline sponsored CC for many years and believe this is one of the best investments you can make to avoid disappointment with your carry on. Being able to board in Zone 2 and getting ahead of the crowd is worth every $ for the premium CC. The other problem is that folks are...

Can I use my 11 year old wetsuit?

My Bare 2/3 Velocity is a couple of years older. It is not great to look at but does the trick and reminds me of some wonderful warm water dives in the Caribbean every time I wear it.

Keeping tension on the line after you deploy and as you surface remains an important issue. Practice, practice, practice.

    Good 3mm wetsuits?

I have a very old Bare 3/2 Ignite as well as a newer Bare 5 Velocity. I had a 7MM Henderson which I retired a couple of years ago in favor of a dry suit. There a lots of choices and everyone has a preference. Ultimately...the one that best fits you for the type of diving you will be doing is...

    Liveaboard "Go Bag"

If you have to leave a vessel in a hurry there is a good chance that, despite planning and good intentions, the go bag with important documents will get left behind or damaged in some way that renders the docs unusable. As such, the drop box or other cloud storage makes a great deal of sense as...

    PFO Testing in Canada

I see there is a DCBC physician listed in Winnipeg. I would give them a call and see whether they will conduct one or more tests and what it might cost you.

    PFO Testing in Canada

You will presumably need a referral from your GP. The bigger issue, of course, is the wait time to get one or more of the tests done in Winnipeg. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/patent-foramen-ovale How is patent foramen ovale diagnosed? Your healthcare...

    Question Where to go.

The EV Saba/St Kitts/St Maarten LOB is a bit less expensive that the T&C boat and still loads of diving. But the Blackbeard package is hard to beat, but fewer dives and amenities.

    Drinking water in Cozumel

As an adjunct to this thread, it is worth reminding ourselves of the number of "boil water advisories" that are regularly issued in communities throughout North America.

    Drinking water in Cozumel

The mere mention of asbestos by @El Graduado - "...the city's water pipes are crumbling sewer pipes made from asbestos and cement." - should be enough to steer clear of tap water.

    Drinking water in Cozumel

I got (really) sick twice in the 80s from contaminated ice/tap water. At this stage in life I do not risk it and have no qualms about using bottled water for brushing teeth when the local water supply is not reliable. I have thought about buying one of the the filters mentioned above but it...

    Current Status of Bonaire

While it is natural and important to establish some personal interaction on dive trips, I can't say that I have ever set out to "bond" with anyone at a dive destination, perhaps with the exception of the boat crew/dive shop. As for those working in the service industry, we all know they are...

Liveaboard choice: Turks and Caicos or St. Kitts & Saba?

I've done both as well. While I really enjoyed St. Kitts and Saba (2X), I would lean towards the T&C for comfort, overall diversity of sea life and dive sites. Crew were great on both boats as was the food. Also, both boats used to offer the TDI solo course if this has ever interested you.
