The number of corona cases are hopefully gonna reduce cause the weathers getting warmer, maybe Japan will open up to international travel soon!
We did a trip to boat dive the Kerama's once, the visibility was incredible but the reef didn't seem that much better than the mainland. We will have...
Thanks for the replies and the subscription, we are gonna incorporate more information in future videos.
We hope to dive Sunabe soon but the southerly winds are making the visibility non existent, you would be welcome to join us on a dive!
My wife and I have started a vlog of our dives on the Japanese island of Okinawa. The diving may not be the best location in the world but we dive here quite a lot and are looking to try and produce quality underwater content. Here's our first video in the series:
Hope you enjoy it, we are...
My wife and I are about to buy a sailboat and we are planning to dive from a tender.
We are fairly experienced divers (over 1000 dives between us).
We are really worried about a shift in currents on a dive resulting in us struggling to return to our boat. What options are there for tethered...
Ya that's why I said I wasn't sure about it. It was the answer google gave when I searched for "What is the humidity of the air in scuba tanks", taken from that thread for some reason.
Thanks for the replies guys.
Apparently the virus survives up to 3 days on stainless steel (not sure about regular steel) and 3 hours in air.
One chart shows how long the coronavirus lives on surfaces like cardboard, plastic, wood, and steel
Apparently the air in a scuba tank is approximately...
Just asking a question I haven't found a response to anywhere.
What is the chance of the COVID 19 virus getting into a scuba tank refill, i.e. someone infected coughing near the air inlet valve for the compressor.
Would the virus survive inside the tank?
I am trying to find a good option to expand the wide angle field of view on my RX100 V in a Sony housing (67mm threads). My budget is approximately US$500.
I have narrowed it down to two options:
1) Using a red filter behind a UWL H100

I am intending on purchasing the Sony RX100 VA camera for underwater videography.
The Sony cameras have a maximum custom white balance of 9900K which leads to imperfect white balance. Most divers use filters to compensate for this shortfall. My question is how much of an effect do these filters...

I did thoroughly check the article however ever single one of the suggestions had a glaring issue.
GoPro: Low light performance is garbage, fixed lens, no white balance
Olympus TG-5: No microscope mode in 4k, fixed lens
LX10: Cropped 4k, fixed lens
GH5: Price
RX100: 9900K limit for MWB...
Thanks for the article Hoag, the GH5 is probably the best option but unfortunately the camera and housing are too expensive even second hand unless I use a Meikon housing which are not high enough quality for such an expensive camera.
Thanks for the information, your videos were quite amazing. I adore the 4k footage sharpness from the Sony but the difference in manual white balance seems to make the color grading less accurate even after grading in post (the shallow footage seems to grade fine though). It seems unlikely that...
Thanks for the reply, the reason why I was looking at the GX85 is because it has almost the exact same sensor as the GH5 just lacking the 60p. A second hand GH4 setup does sound interesting but is there a reason why that would be preferred over the GX85?
I looked at the LX10 but decided that...
