How does "real life" OOA looks like?

That an OOA situation may also ocure due to somekind of malfunction that has nothing to do with gauges. Starting with an O-ring burst, all the way to hoze tear. And I may also add that with new regulators a free-flow may also do it. I made an exsperiment with one of the best regs around, the...

Who was born or lived near water

Who was the last in my family's line to be born more than 2KM away from sea. He was born in poland, in a little jewish village, hundreds of KM away from sea, but he knew what he wanted to be. So first stop was the french navy, than merchant marine, than an officer of a merchant ship, owned...

    Instructors?

First of all, dont be discouraged- certain instructors start very good, and just get even better with time. Knowing the standards IS important, but frankly, has very little to do with how good an instructor you are. If you bore the class to sleep, what does it metter that you know standards say...

    Are you still imperial?

Walter- when you increase dimension, you also increase the amount of "smaller measurements" inside a bigger one by the same proportion: thus- 1meter=100 cm, but - 1 meter^2(squere)=100^2 =10000 squared centimeter=1000^2 square MM. Now let's see you do it with square inches and square yards...

As a profesional- How do you expect to be treated?

They werent local, and my speaking skill is much better than the written one. Really, no seriousely, I do mean it, all you none belivers!!!! I'm one of those "exact weight freaks", aspecialy if it's been about a year since my last dive, Iv'e gained a couple of pounds, and use a new wetsuit...

As a profesional- How do you expect to be treated?

Well, for all those wreched people complaining about my grammer/spelling- All I can say is, that I've got a really great accent (relatively ) for an Israely. Hm btw- When you said: Did you mean- "mate, no offence" or maibe: "Ment no offence" wich I belive should really be: "no...

    Instructors?

Big-t- I've seen quite some instructors that think themselves the best there is, and have experience of decades, yet still are lousy divers and worse instructors.

    Instructors?

Walter- I couldn't agree with you more than I already- But still, even the best instructor you'v ever trained, and was magnificent at the end of his instructor course was probobly a lot better after the first time he tought a course, and after the second time and so on. You get better with...

    Are you still imperial?

Oh- and two last things- 1- what do you do in imperial if you need etreme measures? use micro/mega and so on which are metric? I really wander. What's smaller than an inch? lighter than an ounce? 2- If I had some mistakes in the measurements please forgive me and don't take it TOO hard...

    Are you still imperial?

While, as a metric born, I can physicaly grasp feet, yard, inch and even psi, all the rest remains a mistery. I've seen somewhere it was said imperial is more percise, because a feet is smaller than a meter, and apsi smaller than a bar. This ofcourse, is a foolish arguement- a milimiter is...

As a profesional- How do you expect to be treated?

Hm. Let's explain abit- I haven't volunteered any information that wasn't asked of me, and certainly didnt ask for a discount (it was quite cheap anyhow-off season). The only C-card I have is SSI DCSI, so there's nowhere to hide it, aspecialy if I dont want them to put me with newbie divers...

    Instructors?

New istructors are alwais not as good as experienced ones, regardless of how long they'v been diving.

    Weighting Lifting Regime for Divers

I can hardly belive any special training is necesary. While it is good to be in a generally good shape, there is ubsolutly nothing else, I belive. Some of the best divers I know are not quite even that.

As a profesional- How do you expect to be treated?

First of all, I want to welcome myself back after a long time (had a very busy semester in univercity). Now, for the issue- This one is for the profesional divers of the board (though anyone, ofcourse, is welcome to comment): Say you go diving in a center you never been to before, how do...

How do I improve my air consumption?

As you sure are to get the best advices on how to lower your air consumption (and hopefully will reduce yours), I'm just going to tell you about a friend of mine- This guy was in the navy seals, so you can't say he was in bad shape, or didnt know how to dive. Still, this guy had the lousiest...

    Instructors?

What would you rather have as an instructor- Someone that got certified 15 years ago and did 4 dives a year, or- someone that started two years ago, got hooked, stayed in the buisness. one year as a tank filler that dives as much as he can, than another year as a DM , than became an...

Are there any "scuba laws" or restricitions in your country?

GOD!!! They finally lost it completly, havent they?! I thought you ment the original depth restrictions, what you say now means that someone there is VERY supid. The part about instructors having unlimited depth was for cases of students that for some reason droped to deep. Now if for...

Are there any "scuba laws" or restricitions in your country?

As far as I know israel is the ONLY country in the world with such a wide law program that regulates everything in recreational diving. There are several places in the world where there are laws or local rules regarding how a certain place should be dived (Sinai- Boats only with local guid, for...

    The Rule of Thirds.

I happen to know another rule of thirsde-have a spare part for every three paople. rule of halves is have a spare part for every two people (for extremely complicated dives, or when there are just two divers).
