I have tried. It works. But I customise settings and save them on the gopro. Then underwater u can press the two buttons at the same time (a little practise help) to toggle it. Works well too but u have to remember the customs settings. As u can't uniquely rename them. Maybe g12 can? Haven't got it.
You probably need to service that housing... it'd possible to do it yourself if you have some simple tools.
I would try some warm water soak... and running water on those buttons... and keep pressing them to try to rid of any salt built up

If you are talking about putting water in the dive housing to keep it cool. I don't think that make sense...as the unit heat up... and then it heats up the water in the housing... so.......
Sorry if I have 'stolen' the thread a little.. I wish to see more video and shooting techniques from this set up.. and maybe even compared with the gopro ones...
I just didn't see any pic that shows the attachment without the grip. Can you get a attachment without the grip? I already have try set up. Just would like to have the attachment and the lens
my only real gripe is really battery life.. not about how long it can last till the next charge .. more rather how long the rechargeable battery will last till i have to change it..
right now, i have friends that bought a dive comp 10+ years ( those cost 1K+ as well, back then) also still using...
