First of all I want to thank everyone for their help! Work has had me tied up and unable to respond. I did get to a couple of hardware stores in town and no one carries brass bolts in that size. The screw is bent so it has to be a new one. I talked to my buddy in St Simons and got a definite...
Thanks Herman. I'll look at ace tomorrow. I'm not fancy, a common bolt will work. I eventually want to find another wingbolt, but right now I just want to get it going.
So I was watching a video on rebuilding my '80 to '87 Honker and noticed the wing nut was bent. So I'll just straighten that up with a pair of pliers. An old MK5 screw is too small, a modern screw is too big, yep I need that Goldilocks screw. Does anyone have that medium sized yoke screw they...
Yep, every summer I go with the dive op in St Simons GA. The closest wreck is 26 miles off the coast. I have driven 30 minutes south down I-95 to an op that has much closer wrecks, but the people in St. Simons are like family and that makes up for the long boat ride.
I'm officially on the list to buy your book! What an incredibly interesting career. Please post some more tidbits until the book is available. I also enjoy another video of yours diving a double hose in the river. Had no idea snails eat lead. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I like using a second stage because it immediately bleeds off over pressure. That led me to believe the gauge that read 20psi higher was the suspect. I still want to compare the other one to one that I'm reasonably sure is accurate. I was able to set my 3 mk2s in the low 140s on a full tank so...
When I started this hobby I went with the cheapest so can't complain. I'm just looking for the next one to be trustworthy. I started with MK2s to build confidence, now I have a few 109s, 156s, and a 108 that I have to get kits for.
Not to change the subject, but is there a difference in the effect of the IP range between balanced and unbalanced 1st stages? I might not have asked the question properly. If I use a balanced 2nd with an unbalanced1st, will there be a real benefit? I didn't think this thread would have gone 2...
It's an older reg, an ebay special, and I'm not sure about the age of the schematic. It shows a spacer under the yoke and a shim at either end of the spring. I understand how shims work, the drawing called them washers and showing two of them lead me to believe they were a permanent part of the...
