ok sounds good, just need to wait for it to mature then. Not sure what to do once I get on dialysis, might just have to put my diving on hold for a couple years.
thanks for the help.
well currently im not on dialysis YET, but thats good information to know also.
stupid question: no wet then over the fistula then I take it or at least a really tight one?
Due to my bad luck I have a fistual in my left arm surgically created for hemodialysis treatments. My surgeon said after about 10 weeks I could dive with it so long as I don't restrict my left arm by like wearing anything too tight. Also I was the first person to ever ask her that question...
I think this is the right spot for my question if not if some admin needs to move it go ahead.
Aug 4/5(not sure on what day I'm landing just yet in DC) to Aug 20th I plan on making a little vacation to the easy coast and see the sites.
The farthest I plan on going south is to Charleston...
Yea thats what I figured. I just assumed since checking your computers battery and making sure it works pre dive is just part of the routine that extra safty net isnt' needed.
By default it's turned off, if I remember correctly. I know I have it set for off at least. :)
thanks for the heads up oreo.
I'm sure theres some kinda of safety reason they have the computer do these things, but still I wish it could be changed. Maybe like if a person hooks the dive computer up to the PC they would allow them to make changes to it?
called.
If I want to dive with a specific nitrox mix from the start the techy said I should change my first tank gas mix to reflect what ean im useing. I guess it's setup so that the second tank on the computer is if I go diving with an extra tank with another gas mix.
no I have the navcom? Its a console combo, with pressure gauge n compass.(http://www.oceanicww.com/img/p_computers_veo3.0_navcon1.jpg) There is no transmitter for this computer.
So for my Bday I finally bit the bullet and got me some regulators and a dive computer.
I have never used a dive computer so hopefully these question(s) don't sound too dumb. I plan on taking the new gear out for it's first dive next week.
After setting up the date and time and...
From my experience rent for the first 25 dives which someone already said. Also try all different kinds of gear before you buy. I was lucky to finda LDS which let me take a handfull of regulators to the pool to test out. Then just rented a a couple different styles of BCDS for a weekend dive to...
Kinda wish I didnt' own a tank(AL100) so I don't have to lug it the dive site and just rent one there...but then I sure do like the larger tank over a AL80.
Definitely regret buying booties without a zipper. those are a pain to get off sometimes.
Met a couple that said they stayed in a hideaway hut. was cheap and the place was nice. Had to pay for food tho, which they said they could go into the city and buy food to make something back at their place of stay or hit up the resturants which was comparable to the states. They said they had...
yea I thought about explaining what I saw but I know I would mess it up. I have googled fiji dive shirts and I mainly get a shirt that says dive fiji with a fish or dive flag on.
mainly these 3 Scuba Diving Fiji: Dive Fiji : Scuba T-shirts and Gifts - Dive Inspirations : CafePress.com
yea, should have been more clear my bad. the only reason my really hunting for a fiji one is I just came from there and they had some neat designs. I'll just have to keep hunting.
I would happly buy a 2x so long as it was a tall. damn my odd body size.
the problem is that most places I have been only carry up to a xl and maybe MAYBE a 2x. I can wear a 2x but I would rather have a 3x which I never see.
