I use around 6 lb but own close to 60-70 is my guess. All soft weights after selling the hard weights last year.

I use a bp/w but started in a jacket bc and suggest the same for you. If you like your rental then buy it. Think about it, if it will hold up to rental it will hold up to you.

I saw the wait on amazon and ordered gopro direct. I use the original housing above water for the wider fisheye view.

If you have atomic stick with that just due to easy to have serviced in the event you move or dealer closes. You don't want to end up having them serviced at 2 shops due to the trouble. Other than that its up in the air since it's not your primary.

I do not head strap due the bubbles from your regulator going up in front of the lens. I made a mount using the tripod mount, a 1/4 stainless bolt and nuts, a 1/2 inch pvc end cap and pvc cut to your liking with some bunge added with a hole for a wrist strap. Maybe $10 total with most of that in...
By the time you buy used and have a set serviced you will be over your budget. Just buy a set of HOG regulators and get a set of used gauges here or the bay.

Wall hanger only. Looks like an aqualung octo so that will have value but it will cost more to service than just buying a good quality HOG setup from Jim.

You have to think with most of the better dives here in NC over 60 ft and to remove liability I would require AOW on my boat to. I enjoyed mine and combined it with EAN. Then I did master which was even better. Make the most of it and have fun. Not everyone has logged 1000 so many less...
As you can see from the pictures this is 4 SPG's. 2 have boots and 2 without. One is so clouded I cannot read the gauge. I have not tested these and they are as is. Shipping is included in the lower 48 US. Includes (2) Sherwoods with one that also has a temp gauge, a Pro Sub and the clouded one...
As you can see from the pictures. 3 second stages. They need service or are great for you to play with and learn to service. Have them looked at prior to use. Cleaning the closet. $35 shipped in the lower 48 US. As Is.
This is a great dive computer with both air and nitrox functions. This one has the added quick disconnect and the software which are added extras at the time of purchase. The scraches in the picture are on the display protector and do not effect the function of the unit. You can see that I dove...
I agree with Dive-aholic. You are talking about the main item that keeps you alive here so not really where you want to go cheap. I would say keep renting until you can put enough back for a quality set. Servicing is key since that will runyou about $20 per stage in parts and $20 per stage in...
I am looking for a less conservative computer due to mine leaves me doing long half stops and very little time on a second dive even set at 1.6. The NHeO3 seems to have everything the VR3 had and more at a lower price. If I spend much more than this unit I will jump to the Shearwater. Anyone out...
Well Drumkiller you should have been out because I saw the Carolina Dive Center boat along with AS and 4 other boats on the ledge Saturday. I hope your finds were better than mine. I came away empty handed but saw 6-7 teeth out of 16 divers with Scuba-Now on board the Phoenix which is a nice new...
