Tried to charge my cobalt tonight. Dead again. This is the third Cobalt They’ve sent back as fixed that I’ve received from the manufacturer. Tried to get this one back from them before going to Bonaire in January but didn’t receive it until February. Has ZERO dives on it since it was return...
You ever get to the Wrightsville beach area give me a shout. 19 foot is good as long as the weather holds to get you out to the 20-25 mile range on a good day. Especially mornings in the heat of summer. If you plan it right, you can dive a civil war wreck, a ww1 wreck and a ww2 wreck all in...
FWIW. Mine was doing the same thing. Wouldn't come on yesterday while diving. Looked like it wouldn't charge as well after being on the block for hours. Tried the example by light and motion, tapping the plug. I also was turning it on and off. Mine came back on finally.
Thanks. The teeth here are not found in a river but offshore.
I'm still leaning toward Mammoth tooth. Im taking it to someone this week so they can get there hands on it. A couple of paleo people that have seen the picture are saying mammoth as well. Either way. pretty cool to me.
I was thinking mammoth but wasn't sure. THanks for any responses.

Looks like its the root part or molar of a wooly mammoth tooth. Thanks.
Both. It getting difficult to find teeth in some areas now because of people using DPVs around here. I still have some areas I can pick them but more often then not you have to fan a little.
Found a few yesterday doing a shakedown dive. (Haven't dove In a month or so.)
Found what I think is a piece of wood but others have said they think it may be a tooth of some sort.
Anyone have any opinions?
I also found another fish tail. Not as good as the last one but it has more fish...
Cant take anything off of it as it and all wrecks nearshore are protected. The state is still activley processesing it and it's artifiacts. They cover it back up with sand when they are done. Contact the North Carolina underwater archealogical branch for more info.

We did okay today. Not a lot of teeth but some good big ones. Took some new tooth divers out and took them a dive to figure out what was going on. Couple of other boats really close too. One was already out there when we arrived very early and decided to toss the "I'm diving flag right here"...
This is a good thread. It's stated on a sign on our boat that the crew Litterlaly work for tips only. I also remind the customers at the end of the day.
It goes without saying that dive groups (clubs, etc) that travel and book the boat tip my crew very well to the point the crew looks ahead on...
I wanted to go out tomorrow but have to fix the boat trailer...Those thing like to roll.
LDS Scuba-Now. We plan on running the 4th (two trips to the Hyde/Markam the fourth day and night.) through Monday...Weather is looking better thankfully. Friday ledge diving/spearfishing in the 23 mile area.
