I had an older EverFlex (that one with the yellow inner chest area liner) in hands. However, it is happened that I never used it. I believe that it was made of different neoprene foam that time. It was not so soft and rather looked like my older wetsuits...
So... How many dives did you have on your 5/4mm EverFlex before you found it "very compressed"?
P.S. I used Bare 3 mm in the past. When the second one became very thin, I switched to SF because of (to be honest) wrist and ankle zippers - it does not matter for the warm water but much more...
