Question Using a tank transmitter with doubles (twinset)

I think you are way overthinking it. If you isolate, you have lost (or are losing) one of your cylinder's gas supply. The dive is over...The transmitter will give you pressure on the RT side...No need to know the RMV rate...If you lose the RT side, the SPG on the left will provide that...

    Buoyancy I’m confused

that 2# per MM does not include how much your body needs to be neutral, that's just a guideline for the suit. How much weight do you put on when not using a suit?

    21% Nitrox

Air is 21%Eanx. Wether it says Air or 21% is irrelevant. Most computers I have owned only display the O2% you are using.

    Missed deco stop, lock out?

The real question for me is why is one missing a deco stop AND if you did, why are you worried about a lock out? If I missed a deco stop, I’m headed back down ASAP to complete the stops, if I can’t for some reason, I’m going on O2 and staying out of the water fo 24 hours.

    Looking for SSI Nitrox Online

I agree, except one needs to have the experience on the process of analyzing cylinders, admittedly not a complex process, but hugely important.

    Safety stop when losing buddy

Safety Stops ARE NOT REQUIRED!!!!! Recreational diving does not have a ceiling, meaning, that one can ascend to the surface (whilst maintaining a safe ascent rate) without having to stop....So, if you have a buddy separation- follow whatever you discussed as part of the dive planning. Assuming...

    Looking for SSI Nitrox Online

That would certainly be 100% against agency standards at least for PADI and SSI. Like others have said, you will need to have a practical application for the EANx class. At my shop, we charge $120.00 for the class.

FAKE NEWS!!--PADI to be sold once again

Yes sir, I am referring to the agency you allude to. All four of the crossover shops were PADI, and from what I could tell there had been others. Also, and I can't attest to the veracity of this, V&B has feeling the loss of shops and was making concessions to keep the business even though they...

FAKE NEWS!!--PADI to be sold once again

I was wondering that myself. At the member forum for my current agency, there were 4 shops that had recently crossed over in our region. They didn't mention any particular gripes, but there was definitely an air of discontent with their former agencies.

Overshooting NDL and mandatory deco stops

I bet that if you only exceed the NDL by two minutes, by the time you reach 30 feet (assuming a slow ascent) you won't have a deco obligation.

Scott Matthew Powell - Down Under Dive and Surf

I echo Colliam7's sentiments, and glad that I was able to call him friend. I too work as an instructor at Down Under and I am crushed by this loss. Scott was an inspiring leader and a master at making his customers feel special. I will miss him...well I do already. Gone too soon. Sent from...

    Good diving in NC?

There are a great number of dive sites off the NC coast. I will echo what Herman said, be prepared for difficult conditions and deep dives offshore. There are a couple of inshore dives that are great for newer/less experienced divers. The Indra is one wreck that is inshore, pretty insolated...

    Asthma/depression - BUT I WANT TO DIVE

They will do a methacholine test with your spirometric tests. You have to pass that before they will let you enlist. Have your asthma doc order one for you and see what the results say. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

    Asthma/depression - BUT I WANT TO DIVE

The Navy will not let you dive with asthma, but you may be cleared by a doc to dive recreationally if you can pass some tests. Read this article. Asthma

    Zeagle SDV's

How do you all think that a pair of DIN Zeagle DSV's would fare for a doubles setup for dives shallower than 200. I already have them and thinking of using them for upcoming tech training.
