    Bali help

JT, Also, I forgot when are you going to Bali but this might look very enticing: Flight Deal: U.S. to Bali from $560 Round-Trip I know it's in off-season, you need to fly from January 'til May 2018... But what a deal!!! And it is with the Singapore Airlines, not some cheap no-name airline...

    Bali help

Hi JT & Amy, I usually use the Liberty Dive Resort shuttle from the airport. IIRC, it's something like $40 or $45 straight from the airport to LDR. You can probably get it cheaper, if you've been there before and know some drivers that you can call up. The uber and grab taxis are forbidden in...

GoPro helps... Plenty of...

Diving on a budget - your tips?

That's what I ended up with a couple years ago when looking for a place to spend a week and dive on a budget. Loved it and can't wait to go back in Feb 2018... My problem is though that I got spoiled by diving in Indonesia and prefer to stay away from quick weekend and weekly trips to Coz, save...

    Is this really OW diving???

Yep, unfortunately, I've seen it in Thailand and Indonesia on my dives. Luckily, I never dived with a diving outfit that would accept absolute beginners like this AND take them to more advanced dive sites. If that happened I'd find a different shop to dive with.

    Is this really OW diving???

Thank you all for your constructive comments, esp. from the folks who are diving professionals as they have probably seen situations like this first hand, esp. here in Asia. I really appreciate it. So my takeaway is this: When I got OW certified seven years ago in Thailand, I didn't have pool...

    Is this really OW diving???

Sorry, fixed the album... Was marked private by mistake. My bad:( In the pictures they were at their safety stop, so around 15 feet... I've seen them both together, DM holding his client like that, during my dive a couple times, they couldn't have been deeper than 40 feet, at most.

    Is this really OW diving???

It didn't really looked like he was having a problem. I saw them a couple times and the DM was always holding him by his tank. At one point the client was taking a gopro video of a passing by manta ray, so I deduced that's how they dived this dive, in a 'tandem'... I can only guess/speculate...

    Is this really OW diving???

The deepest sandy parts were about 70-80 feet tops, the most folks stayed over the reef which is around 40-50 feet deep and around cleaning stations it could be as shallow as 15-25 feet.
