that last sentence is contradictory to everything i have seen and heard. i have buddy that works at Jackson Miami and the only thing that he can 100% confirm is that the almost all people that are really getting bad and die are the people that have not taken any vaccine. but at that point it...
I live in Miami Florida, one of the most Covid infested places in the USA. This last December - January we had a gigantic spike in Covid cases from Omicron in Miami Dade county. Our lovely state has a very funny way of dealing with the virus, you simply just pretend it doesn't exist so it kind...
Im trying to help a friend looking to do his advance certification in the next coming months. He would like to do his advance open water along with his basic Nitrox cert/ specialty but he is looking for a instructor that is tech oriented that can help cover the class with a bp/ wing and long...
Any one got advise on how to properly trim out the scooter with the 12ah packs for salt water. Does the weight in noise cone that it come with need to be reduced? what about the trim weight in the middle?🤔 i have the tech tube.
So after weeks of lurking over a number of webs sites for the Dewalt batteries I was finally able to get lucky enough to get two 12ah batteries with bundled chargers off of home depot. They are still out of stock in general from what I can tell however so good luck to everyone else out there...
You know now im curios, the Blacktip has a battery indicator that displays battery level by showing bars but from what i can see it does this by using a relatively simple dot matrix display that's from what i can tell is 12x8 pixels.
You would think in the firmware there would be an option...
Let us know about those Calihutt batteries, from what I can tell they are the only ones other then the Dewalts that claim to be 12ah. As i mentioned prior I'm interested in knowing how they compare to the Dewalt 9ah. I'm fairly sure they will not perform neck and neck with the dewalt 12ah but...
So to my surprise I actually received the Scooter yesterday. 2 weeks earlier then expected..... at first glance this sounds like a good thing..... but now I'm really really fiending to get some good batteries 😣
They are some where in the back of my shed id need to dig em out. But i do have this old video of them during there past glory. I painted them and tried to make them look nice when i first got then.
Man, mine are very old, they came with the white PVC tube pipe bodies. I repainted them when I first got them. There's not way the working on has a motor newer then 2008. I think they guy that i got them for estimated they where from the late 90s early 2000s.
oh dude. if you have the 50s already then I would slap them together just for fun at that point. That's just my 0.02 cents. the bands would be the only item to look for, you can find manifolds everywhere. idk if you can get things ordered from the USA but Dive gear express sells the bands. 5.5...
For a fact, in both cases I would agree.
Even in 15 ft. of water, solo diving with a single 63 + the extra task loading of hunting seems like a somewhat bad idea. A little problem or 2 mid to late dive with a lapse of focus on your gas can put you in a very poor situation. Though at 73 years...
ok, it really depends on the dives your want to pull of with the twin set. As someone else mentioned above they would work best for one long dive. I'm sure you can do 2 dives with them granted the deeps aren't to deep. I've seen plenty of people on dive boats use a single 100 for a 60ft dive and...
I'm confused with what you mentioned, twin 50s have 100cuft total AL80s have ~160 cuft total (not 80). A 60 cubic feet is substantial difference, that's a whole aluminum 63 extra on your back.
If your just going recreational diving the twin 50s should be good. I don't think they have enough...
Gavin Scooter "Preservation" Society..... that cant be a good sign. When are they officially Vintage?
I've thought about doing the lithium pack in one of mine. I'm still weighing the cost, its pretty pricey.
I'm finding it hard to find new info or resources related to them anymore and with all the scooters out there nowadays I kind of think those things are not worth the time anymore.
I ended up buying a blacktip. I still need to figure out what to do with those monsters in my shed.
2 questions, first one is you mention making a DIY pack, do you know where i can get more info on doing this?
Secondly, how do you generate those paths on the map, do you mount something on the dive flag?
