Visited Deep Hole to clean away excess coontail. The park is open so a couple of glass-bottom boats passed over. Visibility was below average due to other divers in the water earlier that day. Had a wonderful time as always in Spring Lake.

Texoma is a long haul for me...but I am interested in hearing about your dive. I hope there are not enough zebra mussels in the lake (yet!) to make a difference in the water clarity. Let us know how it goes!

Hey Timeliner, San Marcos is not that far from Paris - what, 5 hours drive? You should come check it out for yourself!

As far as season, it is 70 degrees F year-round, so you can go anytime. We usually stay in a pretty small area (no more than 0.25 mile) but you could snorkel on down the river a pretty long way - people kayak and tube down a mile or more, and there are places to get out the river further down.

I didn't dive for 8 years after getting certified, then after that trip I didn't dive for 16 years. This year I got back into diving and have logged about 10 dives. Am I missing anything if I just keep getting my diving experience in the water? Should I consider getting re-certified...
