Did a 30 min dive in 53 degree water yesterday. 3 mil with a 3 mil hood. Depends what you can comfortably tolerate, but cold is cold.

Here is the thing. all of this money that is "could" be funneled to them, is taking directly away from the LDS. Like someone else said, that is a shirt, or dive knife or hood, or some extra fills. come on, they need so be supportive of their dive community, not selfish.

I would agree with Scuba Radio. I really dont learn much from the show and its not very entertaining most of the time. However, As someone else pointed out, give Scuba Obsessed a try. Its a much rougher unedited show about diving around the great lakes, but, pretty much any one diving in muddy...

You probably already know this, but the LDS I bought mine from was telling a story similar to that and there is a feature to adjust the "normal" breathing patters so that it doesn't set off as much. That might not be what you meant though. Just saying.

I love the compass and its features as well. With the (lack of) viz we have around here the compass feature is gonna really be nice for way points.

I have had maybe one other person say that to me before I bought it. I know several people that dive them around here and they all have had excellent luck, and that was a specific question I asked. So time will tell, but its definitely something i'm conscious of. Thanks for the heads up though.

I had a chance to use both before I bought. I was trained with the octo, and then borrowed an AIRII. At the end of the day I chose the AIR II because of the control features. I just liked the buttons better, AND I had one less hose to deal with. I still like it for all of those reasons...

I wish I could answer this, but if I could I wouldn't be having the same problem most of the time. I have found that moving up some of my weight has helped though.
